Stablemate PRESTIGE SNITZEL (2) is an improving type that is the main danger. CASUAL GHAI (3) chased honestly at Mornington and will be suited up uin trip. KAKKOII (4) has trialled well so any betting moves must be respected.

RACE 2: 12:45PM MRC FOUNDATION GALA MAY 8 HANDICAP (1100m)

Small field engaged but AVEBURY (2) could improve on her first-up run at Mornington and she has a good second-up record. SMART LITTLE MISS (5) has impressed with two wins to start her campaign and should threaten again. HEARCOMESTHESTAR (4) races well first-up and has won a recent jumpout. ATLANTIC SPIRIT (1) is consistent and drops in class for this.

RACE 3: 1:20PM HENLEY HOMES HANDICAP (1100m)

Difficult race but FLUENT (7) went well in stakes class in Adelaide behind a subsequent Group 2 winner last time out and could find this easier. NO FOOLING (11) was most impressive on debut at Cranbourne and could measure up to this harder assignment. SCAMPI (3) bolted in at Ballarat and will go well. JUST FOR SHOW (1) is a handy three-year-old that can fire fresh.

RACE 5: 2:30PM TOBIN BROTHERS CELEBRATING LIVES HANDICAP (1000m)

OAK HILL (4) ran a terrific race in a $500,000 contest at Echuca on Good Friday and should be hard to hold out again. SHIRSHOV (6) was another that performed well at Echuca and should again be hard to run down. FLEETWOOD (3) is down from NSW with a good first-up record and has trialled well. FASUTO (8) went down narrowly at Bendigo fresh and will be fitter.

SUGGESTED BET: Oak Hill to win.

RACE 6: 3:05PM MRC CHAIRMAN’S CLUB HANDICAP (2000m)

ZIRYAB (10) is racing in great form and could race on the speed and keep rolling again with only 53kg. IMMEDIACY (3) was too good at Mornington and will be fitter. SHAIYHAR (4) was outclassed in the Australian Cup but will be much better suited at this level. DUBLIN JOURNAL (12) can improve sharply stepping up to 2000m with the benefit of his first-up run.

SUGGESTED BET: Ziryab to win.

MARKET MOVER: Immediacy $3.30 - $2.45.

RACE 7: 3:40PM EVERGREEN TURF HANDICAP (2000m)

Hard race but GLOBAL ECLIPSE (7) relished stepping up to 2000m when an easy maiden winner and could continue to progress. OXFORD BLUE (3) was close-up on the Heath track over 1800m and should enjoy the 2000m. THE MUFFIN MAN (5) has drawn poorly but looks ready for this trip. JENNI YOU THINK (8) drops back from Group 3 level and can improve.

RACE 8: 4:20PM LISTED TILE IMPORTER ANNIVERSARY VASE (1600m)

REGAL ZEUS (2) is flying this time in and rates a chance for the hat trick while HELLSING (5) can build on his determined win in Adelaide. MAKRAM (8) will be fitter for his solid first-up third.

SUGGESTED BET: Pride Of Jenni to win.

MARKET MOVER: Pounding $15 - $8.50.

HUGHES (7) jumps in grade but has built an impressive record and can complete a hat trick of wins. ANGRY SKIES (5) was too good in the Warracknabeal Cup and could run well again.

SUGGESTED BET: Hughes to win.
