An impressive debut performance from Invincible Woman earns her a shot at next month’s Magic Millions
Exciting filly Invincible Woman kicked off her career in impressive fashion with a dominant win in the Magic Millions Vic 2YO Classic.
Invincible Woman has a ticket to Queensland for the rich $3m Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) next month.
The Lloyd Kennewell and Lucy Yeomans-trained filly led and dominated the Magic Millions VIC 2YO Classic (1100m) on Saturday at Caulfield Heath under jockey Damian Lane.
Invincible Woman, a $250,000 daughter of I Am Invincible out of Showcase, defeated Zouclaire and favourite Bacash.

Yeomans said Invincible Woman, an all-female owned filly, would dictate Gold Coast travel plans.
“We’ll be guided by her, see how she pulls up,” Yeomans said.
“Obviously that’s the goal (Magic Millions), we’d love to get her up there.
“We don’t just think she’s a two year old, we think she’s got a bright future and she’s a progressive filly, so we’re not going to force the issue if she’s not telling us she wants to go.”
Invincible Woman firmed into $11 with Ladbrokes for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 11.
“I was worried with her leading, just not knowing what she’s doing and still learning her craft, but Frosty (Lane) rode her beautifully,” Yeomans said.
“She’s got that natural gate speed, which hopefully should be an advantage to her moving forward.”
Lane endorsed Invincible Woman’s untapped potential after the cruisy win.
“Very natural, very quick,” Lane said.

“She’s just doing it all on raw ability, she’s not really sure what it’s about … she can take benefit from the experience today and hopefully that really brings her on.”
Invincible Woman stepped awkwardly from the barrier but quickened sharply to lead and dictate.
She never looked like losing in the run with “sustained speed” throughout.
“She got a little tense and then popped up, but then her next three strides when she hit the ground were very fast and we were more than happy to take up the lead,” Lane said.
“She’s still unsure, she was flicking the ears and waiting for the other horses but when I asked her she really quickened and pinged off the bend.
“She did quicken up when I asked her but then to be able to sustain a really quick gallop over 1100m, the others were starting to get tired, she was able to pull away.”
Invincible Woman, the first yearling Kennewell and Yeomans bought in their training partnership, breezed through her education and early race preparation.
“She just kept going to another level,” Kennewell said.
“We probably thought we were going to go to the paddock at one stage, we went to the trials and she won really well, and she obviously went to the trials again and (won).
“I probably did expect that (win), Lucy is the conservative one … I’m not.”
Invincible Woman returned $3.70 with Ladbrokes on Saturday.
