Tyler Schiller joined an elite club when at Royal Randwick on Saturday he became the third jockey in Australia this season to ride the winners of more than $20 million in prizemoney.

Schiller joined James McDonald and Blake Shinn when achieving the feat aboard the Hawkes Racing-trained Enotis in the ATC Thank You Owners Handicap (1800m).

This season, Schiller has ridden 126 winners including two Group 1 victories aboard Celestial Legend in the Doncaster Mile and Lady Laguna in the Canterbury Stakes.

“It’s been a great season and I’ve got a lot of owners and trainers to thank for their support,” Schiller said.

“The job ahead is to match my achievements next season and possibly even better them.”

Schiller had the John, Wayne and Michael Hawkes-trained Enotis perfectly poised with cover in the middle distance affair and was always destined to get a run with the field fanning wide at the top of the straight.

Enotis ($9) hit the front 300m from home and only extended his margin on rival over the concluding stages, running away with a 2¼-length success from the David Pfieffer-trained Go Troppo ($11).

Chris Waller’s Etna Rosso ($11) looked to threaten before battling on for third.

“Tyler got him in a lovely rhythm and he travelled beautifully really,” Michael Hawkes said.

“They rolled along. He was able to come off the back a bit and he sprinted really well.

“I was probably worried about the track with the way it’s playing but he hit the line super.”
