Two Group 1 Queensland Oaks contenders will face last-minute vet inspections on Saturday morning after they were found to be lame on Friday.

Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) vets found the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Glint Of Hope to be displaying minor heel pain on Friday morning and said she will need to be re-shod prior to Saturday’s race.

The Kris Lees-trained Le Villi will also face added scrutiny on Saturday, after vets found her to be short-striding in front.

Glint Of Hope, the Group 1 Australasian Oaks winner, is rated a $14 chance with TAB, while Le Ville is a $19 chance.

All other runners in the Group 1 feature were passed fit to run by QRIC vets on Friday morning.
