RACE 1: COLTS, HORSES & GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE (1200m)

PRESIDENT (7) has been good in three career starts which have included a fifth to Storm Boy and a third to Bittercreek in Group 2s. Kept under a hold but good through the line in his two trials. LYLES (4) went to the paddock after his debut seventh at Warwick Farm. Has been very good winning both recent trials, the latest at Rosehill on Feb 18 when he tracked the leader before racing away by over four lengths. MARAIS (5) was spelled after his only unplaced run in seven starts when sixth to Manos last October. Sat wide in winning his Rosehill trial then worked home well for third in his Randwick heat.

BET: PRESIDENT (7) to win.

RACE 2: FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN PLATE (1200m)

MANUKAU (7) is a debutant by Lonhro from the stakes-winner Pohutukawa. Taken back early and worked home well under a hold when third in his Hawkesbury trial. Settled back along the rails and again under a tight grip when a neck third to Bev’s Time on her Warwick Farm heat. Fellow debutant KILONOVA (6) is by Zoustar from the family of Sunlight. Was a little green behind the leader but closed nicely to win his Warwick Farm trial on Feb 11. IVY LEGEND (5) is another first starter by Savabeel. Jumped straight to the front kept on the bridle to win her Rosehill heat by a half-length last week.

BET: MANUKAU (7) to win.

RACE 3: SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP (1500m)

WA WA WA (2) battled away for third to King Of Dragons on debut on the Kensington before finishing less than a length behind Flying From Above when third at Canterbury after leading. Drawn gate 1 and will be prominent again. SAN GABRIEL (1) just missed by a nose behind Gone Bananas on debut and followed with a second to Lugarno at Kembla before contesting the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes when down the track behind El Castello. Sat back and wide and a nose second to Tassaal in his Scone trial on Feb 12. GO ZOLA (9) was game in defeat and a close second to Automne Tree at Canterbury last start.

BET: WA WA WA (2) to win.

RACE 4: 3YO FILLIES BENCHMARK 72 (1500m)

ETERNAL (6) was impressive winning on debut at Sale last June and was spelled. Resumed at Canterbury was a close second behind Island Dec. Will be improved by the run and drops a little in weight. ATELIER (3) started her career with back-to-back country wins at Orange and Goulburn before stepping up to city grade and beating Satness at Canterbury over 1550m. Drawn well and a big chance to stay undefeated. IDLE FLYER (2) was wide without cover when second at Kembla first-up then won her next two on the Kensington and at Warwick Farm. Good chance in an open race.

BET: ETERNAL (6) to win.

RACE 5: BENCHMARK 72 (1100m)

WINCHESTER (7) led before finishing third behind Polyglot when resuming in Saturday grade here on Jan 18. Started favourite but was disappointing when last to Amicus Curiae at Warwick Farm last start. Has since trialled nicely when second at Rosehill last week. Can bounce back. AFTER MATCH (8) suffered cardiac arrhythmia when last behind Lugh as favourite when resuming at Newcastle on Jan 25. Has since sat outside the leader to win a Warwick Farm trial on Feb 11. IMPERIAL FORCE (6) was held up until passing the 300m when eighth in the Ming Dynasty at his last run. Resumes for a new stable and trials have been okay.

BET: WINCHESTER (7) each-way.

RACE 6: BENCHMARK 78 (2400m)

CALIFORNIA GRASS (8) won over this trip from Tajanis at Warwick Farm on Dec 4. Was third to Tajanis over this track and distance before a half-length third to Impunity at Warwick Farm. Will be in the finish again. KAPAKIRI (5) had to change course to find clear running and was fair behind Our Anchorage over 2000m here on Feb 1 before being steadied in restricted room when eighth at Flemington. His last win was over this track and distance from Age Of Sail last July. SOUL CHOICE (6) was a head second to Unlimited at Randwick two runs back before a fourth to Our Anchorage here on Feb 1

BET: CALIFORNIA GRASS (8) each-way.

RACE 7: BENCHMARK 72 (1400m)

POCKETING (8) had been very good in his first five starts with two wins and three seconds, the last placings at Canterbury behind Oh Diamond Lil on Jan 1. Started favourite in a Midway here on Feb 1 but suffered cardiac arrhythmia. Can bounce back. FORMIDABLE FORCE (4) is first-up in Australia. English form is solid including a 1207m win at Lingfield Park. Watch betting. HOUSE OF CARDS (1) is on a quick back-up from a third behind Don Pedro at Warwick Farm last week. Was second to that same horse the start prior when resuming.

BET: POCKETING (8) to win.
