BEST BET
ARTFUL LODGER (Race 5 No.3 – $2.35): Green but still far too good for his rivals on debut at Ballina. Should get his own way in front here and can make it two from two.

NEXT BEST
AUREATE (Race 6 No.8 – $4.60): Has been in the market in two starts for trainer Reece Goodwin and finds a weak race here. Gets his chance.

FLIP THE SWITCH (Race 8 No.3 – $3.80): Not beaten far in a stronger race at Mornington last time out and gets the benefit of Emily Pozman’s 2kg claim.

VALUE BET
PERMANENCE (Race 4 No.4 – $6.50): Four-year-old on debut and jumpouts have been good, particularly his most recent when a close third at Cranbourne. Worth a spec in a difficult race.
