BEST BET
MANTUA (Race 3 No.4 – $3.40): Given a let-up after a 1.1-length fourth to the impressive Pisanello down the Flemington straight on November 9. Fitted for this with an eye-catching third in a Cranbourne trial on December 16. Looks very well-placed first-up.

NEXT BEST

MRS CHRISSIE (Race 8 No.9 – $3): Difficult to tip against her on the strength of her dominant return at Ballarat. Will be charging home off what looks a frantic pace.

STUPENDOUS (Race 1 No.5 – $3.70): Aiming for four straight wins and while this is her toughest test to date, she maps perfectly from the good draw and gets in light with Logan Bates’ 3kg claim.

VALUE BET

DASHING (Race 7 No.1 – $8): Should get a gun run just behind the pace and meets Riot And Rose 1.5kg better compared to last start. Good each-way play.
