BEST BET
ZAMBEZI KHAN (Race 8 No.9 – $4): Gets to her right trip on Saturday and is undefeated (2:2-0-0) third-up. Looks perfectly placed by trainers Patrick and Michelle Payne.

NEXT BEST
BOLTSAVER (Race 3 No.6 – $4.40): Forgive last start when got a long way back in a leader-dominated race. Settles much closer today from the good draw and Blake Shinn jumps on.

FICKLE (Race 6 No.1 – $2.45): Progressive mare who’s won three of past four and was scratched from a Listed race on Boxing Day to be saved for this. Sits right on pace from inside draw and will take a stack of running down.

VALUE BET
BOLDINHO (Race 10 No.1 – $15): Ciaron Maher-trained sprinter whose stats at the track (3:0-1-1) and third-up (3:1-1-0) read well. Gets the benefit of Jaylah Kennedy’s 2kg claim and is worth an each-way ticket.
