NEW YORK LUSTRE (Race 5 No.5 – $1.95): Class above her rivals in a five-length romp at Seymour first up. Comes to town for the first time but gets a nice weight drop and Jamie Kah on board. Should be winning.

NEXT BEST
PRINCE ERIC (Race 9 No.8 – $4): Wide without cover at the Valley and toughed it out for third behind Princeofnottingham and Van Roy, both of whom he meets better at the weights today. Can return to the winner’s stall from the good draw.

TARAMANSOUR (Race 4 No.1 – $6.50): Caught the eye when running home for fourth behind Saltcoats at Randwick last time out. Peaks now at his fourth run back from a spell and gets out to a suitable trip.

VALUE BET
FLYING MIKKI (Race 7 No.4 – $12): Did an amazing job to be beaten less than two lengths after racing well back and being forced to hunt wide at the Valley last time out. Maps to sit a lot closer in running today and looks terrific each-way value.
