RACE 1: 12:15PM PREMIER SIGNS HANDICAP (1600m)

Caulfield is likely to be firm for Saturday’s meeting. Tricky start but RUBOLOGY (4) was a strong Cranbourne winner last start and is at peak fitness. ONE LONG DAY (1) is racing in great heart and should go close again despite the big weight. UNTHINKABLE (11) wasn’t far away at The Valley and will be fitter. HE’S BESET (2) was OK at Sandown second-up and will be better for it.

SUGGESTED BET: Rubology each-way.

MARKET MOVER: Bar Dubai $4.60 – $4.20.

RACE 2: 12:45PM SPORTSBET SUPER BOWL MONDAY HANDICAP (2000m)

EMPHASIZE (10) was a dominant winner at Sale second-up and could continue to improve here. INEVITABLE AWARD (7) was sound over 2100m at Sandown but won well in this class two runs back. PERFECT PLAY (3) led and tried hard at Sandown third-up and has drawn well. CABLE DANCER (4) chased well at Flemington second-up and the rise in trip will suit.

SUGGESTED BET: Back both Emphasize and Inevitable Award.

MARKET MOVER: Cable Dancer $8 – $7.50.

RACE 3: 1:20PM THE BD HOOFT HUSTLE (2000m)

Tricky race but SPEYCASTER (1) was solid in a slowly-run race at Flemington first-up and will be improved. BANKERS CHOICE (1) led and tried hard at Flemington and should do the same here. GRAND PIERRO (3) has been freshened after winning at Group 3 level but should be running on. SHAIYHAR (8) got the job done at Flemington and is worth thought here.

SUGGESTED BET: Speycaster each-way.

MARKET MOVER: Touristic $16 – $8.50.

RACE 4: 1:55PM GROUP 3 SPORTSBET BLUE DIAMOND PRELUDE (C & G) (1100m)

ALEPPO PINE (2) looked outstanding with his debut win at Ballarat and has jumped out well leading up to this. LOFTY THOUGHTS (6) raced greenly on debut at Geelong and should benefit from the experience. TYCOON STAR (1) showed ability in his maiden campaign and has trialled well. FIELD OF PLAY (3) was a dominant debut winner and could measure up.

SUGGESTED BET: Box trifecta 1, 2, 3, 6

MARKET MOVER: Victory Tune $17 – $12.

RACE 5: 2:30PM GROUP 2 SPORTSBET BLUE DIAMOND PRELUDE (FILLIES) (1100m)

MY GLADIOLA (1) has drawn awkwardly but was most impressive when winning on debut at Sandown and will only be improved. PALM ANGEL (3) was OK from a wide gate at Sandown and could improve from the better gate. WILTSHIRE SQUARE (4) has gone well at both runs to date and should do so again. MISS CELINE (2) ran on soundly first-up and won at Caulfield on debut in the spring.

SUGGESTED BET: Box quinella 1, 2, 3, 4.

MARKET MOVER: Gladiola $2.10 – $2.

RACE 6: 3:05PM GROUP 2 HERALD SUN RUBITON STAKES (1100m)

Difficult race. TITLE FIGHTER (6) found all sorts of bother in the Australia Stakes at The Valley and could surprise with a clearer run here. REY MAGNERIO (4) is always thereabouts and should perform well fresh. MAHARBA (2) returns after an excellent effort at Group 1 level in Perth. BAND OF BROTHERS (9) is honest and will be fitter for two runs in.

SUGGESTED BET: Small each-way bet Title Fighter.

MARKET MOVER: Prairie Flower $6.50 – $6.

RACE 7: 3:40PM GROUP 2 HYLAND RACE COLOURS AUTUMN STAKES (1400m)

JENNI THE FOX (9) produced a stunning first-up win in a much easier race at Cranbourne. Is she good enough to handle this? It’s worth finding out at the price. ANGEL CAPITAL (2) is a quality three-year-old that should go well fresh. EVAPORATE (1) drops in class for this and his recent jumpouts have been promising. DETROIT CITY (4) has had time to develop after a pleasing maiden campaign.

SUGGESTED BET: Jenni The Fox each-way.

MARKET MOVER: Catoggio $5 – $4.80.

■ ■ ■ ■ ■

RACE 8: 4:15PM GROUP 3 RACE-TECH JRA PLATE (1600m)

Tricky contest with some classy types resuming. HOWGOODAREYOU (13) went well enough first-up and performed solidly at this level before joining the Grahame Begg campo. TORRANZINO (5) did a good job in an unsuitable race at Sandown and will improve. WINGS OF SONG (9) wasn’t suited leading at Flemington second-up and will be fitter. WINDSTORM (7) ran on well at Sandown last Saturday and will be better for it.

SUGGESTED BET: Howgoodareyou each-way.

MARKET MOVER: Duke De Sessa $7.50 – $6.50.

■ ■ ■ ■ ■

RACE 9: 4:55PM GROUP 1 SPORTSBET C.F ORR STAKES (1400m)

MR BRIGHTSIDE (1) is the class runner of the race with a great record over the Caulfield 1400m course. He can win this race for the second straight year. SCHWARZ (7) impressed winning the Australia Stakes and likes 1400m. PRIVATE LIFE (10) won the Caulfield Guineas two runs back and three-year-olds have a good record in the Orr Stakes. ANOTHER WIL (5) is on trial at weight-for-age but has plenty of ability.

SUGGESTED BET: Mr Brightside to win.

MARKET MOVER: Schwarz $6.50 – $6.

■ ■ ■ ■ ■

RACE 10: 5:35PM GROUP 3 PETER LE GRAND STAKES (1100m)

Possibly the hardest race of the day to finish the program. TONKIN (9) has significantly improved this time in and could be hard to run down again. RICH DOTTIE (8) is unbeaten first-up and has trialled well recently. KIRRIBILLI (13) showed talent last time in and has had more time to develop. CERTAIN RISE (3) impressed in the spring and could improve.

SUGGESTED BET: Back both Tonkin & Rich Dottie.

MARKET MOVER: Tonkin $5 – $4.60.
