Listed Qlty, 1600m

In the run: SWEET REDEMPTION should take up the lead with MR EPIC and TOP TONE the two who will have to cart up the field. The others look to get back so pace looks moderate.

Take note: Under quality conditions, class usually prevails and SWEET REDEMPTION and CYLINDER BEACH are the only Group winners.

Did you know: Luke Tarrant is three wins from three rides on TOP TONE.

Early money: MAN OF HIS WORD at $4. CYLINDER BEACH $4.60 to $4.20. TOP TONE $14 to $11.

Tip: TOP TONE. $11. Maps well and tipping Luke Tarrant to continue his unbeaten association with the horse.

Danger: SWEET REDEMPTION. $2.70. Last-start Group 3 winner in Sydney.

Randwick Race 7: Villiers Stakes — 3.20pm

Group 2, 1600m

In the run: FABRIZIO prefers to race handy, if not lead. HIGH MIDNIGHT won’t be far away, nor should BIG MEMORY. Jockey on HOPFGARTEN will need to make a decision early on as to whether or not to push forward from wide gate.

Take note: RED EXCITEMENT and FABRIZIO are the only two horses to have multiple wins at Randwick.

Did you know: FABRIZIO is a half-brother to two Group winning siblings: MAHARA, a Group 3 winner and EAGLE FALLS, the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate winner.

Early money: FABRIZIO $3.40 into $3 and nibbles at odds AMOVATIO $16 into $11, RED EXCITEMENT $21 into $18, SENSE OF OCCASION $71 into $26.

Tip: HIGH MIDNIGHT $9. Gets in nicely at the weights.

Qlty Hcp, 2000m

In the run: Looks a genuine run staying race with early pace from ALL CLEAR, HUDSON COUNTY and IDLE SITUATION. LA SPIAGGIA CRAMMING and EMPHASIS to box seat. Favourite SAGA MISS to be back off the pace.

Take note: Barriers between 1 and 6 inclusive account for around 65% of winners for Doomben at the distance.

Did you know: ALL CLEAR, SAGA MISS and DREAM FINNISH all last start winners from Eagle Farm on December 3, though race times unfavourable for SAGA MISS form line.

Early money: SAGA MISS $3.30. ANNAMAN $23 to $21. VOLKHERE $41 to $31. OUTRAGED $35 to $19.

Tip: LA SPIAGGIA $14. Proven this class and distance. Looked to be in need of the run the other day and maps well.

Danger: OUTRAGED $19. Looks overs as fitter for two runs in and rises to a suitable trip and races here against a lower quality of horses.

Doomben Race 7: Lough Neagh Stakes — 4.12pm

Listed Qlty, 1350m

In the run: Pace aplenty with FLAMBOYER and LUCKY TOM leading. NINTH LEGION, MOST IMPORTANT and COOLRING all look to take forward positions.

Take note: MOST IMPORTANT is yet to win in five starts past 1200m.

Did you know: COOLRING has run well against horses like Malaguerra, Spieth and Kaepernick in the past.

Early money: Too Good To Refuse $3.80-$2.90. Coolring $11-$7.50.

Tip: TOO GOOD TO REFUSE $2.90. Will lap up the good tempo and swoop over the top of his rivals late.

Danger: COOLRING $7.50. Looks value with Brisbane’s premier jockey Jeff Lloyd riding.
