WARWICK FARM

BEST BET

Race 6 No. 1: Fall For Cindy

The John O’Shea-trained mare closed off well from last when a half-length second at Rosehill first-up. Unbeaten second-up and can maintain that record here.

NEXT BEST

Race 3 No. 7: Kundalini

Placed behind Don Corleone and Learning To Fly at her first two runs. Resumed with a solid second at Canterbury and drawn well to break her maiden.

VALUE BET

Race 5 No. 6: Spaltet

Raced outside the leader and proved too tough over this track and distance last start. Good chance to repeat that effort.

BEST EXOTIC

Quinella Race 3 No. 3, 7

INSIDE MAIL - WARWICK FARM

RACE 1

All on debut so keep an eye on betting. Counteroffensive is by Deep Field and a half-brother to Listed winner Guard Of Honour. Missed the jump in his Kensington heat before hit the line nicely behind Espionage and Bodyguard. Sovereign Hill is a Written Tycoon colt from a half-sister to Gr1 winner Music Magnate trained at Tulloch Lodge. Showed good speed to race outside the leader before dashing away to win his Randwick trial by three lengths. Stablemate Fortians is another by Deep Field from the family of Tempest Morn. Raced on speed and wasn’t pushed out in placings in both trials.

Bet:Counteroffensive to win

RACE 2

Broadcaster was extremely unlucky when fourth behind Ostraka at Rosehill last start. Got back along the rails and was held up turning for form until passing the 200m then held up again near the 50m. Drops 2kg on that ran. Kaizad led in that same race but was no match for the winner. Was a long neck second to last Saturday’s Tapp-Craig winner, Makarena, when resuming at Canterbury before that. Kirikan also comes out of that race. Got back and made steady ground in the straight for sixth to Ostraka when resuming that day. Miss Reilly worked to the line nice to dead-heat for second behind Left Field on debut at Newcastle on Sept 16.

Bet:Broadcaster to win

RACE 3

Kundalini worked early from a wide gate first-up when pressured by Flightcrew before handing up and sitting outside leader. Hit the front after straightening but couldn’t quite hold out Lost who tracked her in the run. Will be better for the run and drawn ideally. Need Some Luck, the three-quarter brother to Chautauqua, placed runner-up in both starts at Warwick Farm in his first campaign. Closed nicely from midfield on the fence to win his Randwick trial on Sept 22. Stand Aside placed in his only to starts including a third to Congregation at Rosehill on June 3. Second to Schwarz in a Randwick trial on Sept 22.

Bet:Kundalini to win. Quinella 3, 7

RACE 4

Chateaux Park was slow into stride and settled down a conspicuous last at Warwick Farm last week before charging home for a length and a quarter fourth behind Lady Redwood over 2200m. Steps up 2400m this week but just needs to begin better. Golden Passport led that race and kicked back when headed by Casual Connections at the 150m but couldn’t hold out Lady Redwood who got up his inside. Casual Connection has drawn wide but sure to make his presence felt. Lady Redwood is a chance again and she is a winner over 2400m.

Bet:Chateaux Park to win

RACE 5

Spaltet raced on speed and proved too good for Mr Buster over this track and distance last time out after being narrowly beaten at Hawkesbury. Placed at his only two previous goes at the mile. Yasuke should be just about at his peak now after two improving runs back from a spell over 1400m and steps up to the mile where he has a win and two placings from three starts at the trip. Ran on from well back when sixth on the Kensington first-up then sat outside the leader when fourth to The Replicant here last start. Highlights drops in grade from his short neck second to Unspoken at Randwick on Sept 30. Cinque Torre was just pipped in the Bathurst Cup over 1800m last start.

Bet:Spaltet each-way

RACE 6

Fall For Cindy raced well last campaign including two wins before jumping in grade to contest the Gr2 The Roses at Doomben when tenth to Fireburn. Resumed with a strong run from last down the outside for a half-length second to Sequestered when resuming over 1300m at Rosehill on Sept 27. Drawn to race handier and will take beating. Smart Little Miss hasn’t won so far this campaign but she has been a model of consistency. Handy third to Strombus on the Kensington two runs back and was fourth in the Sequestered and Fall For Cindy race last start. Ithadtobezou was a handy fourth to Felix Majestic first-up and her second-up record is very good.

Bet:Fall For Cindy to win. Box quinella/trifecta 1, 2, 5

RACE 7

Cardone did a good job to win on debut over 1100m at Canterbury. Followed up with a handy fourth to Lucky Variety at Randwick in a Bm72 then spelled after an eighth here. Nice effort when a close second in his Rosehill trial on Sept 19. Lavish Empire went back from a wide gate and made some ground in the straight in a race dominated by Tristate in front at Rosehill last start. Handy second to Able Willie when resuming before that. Thunderlips won nicely on debut and two starts later finished a handy sixth in the Gr2 Champagne Classic at Doomben before a tough run in the Gr2 Sires’ Produce.

Bet:Cardone to win

RACE 8

Afterlight jumped straight to the front but was soon joined by a riderless horse and got running to set up a big lead but she did a great job to beat Demiana by three and a half lengths when resuming over this track and distance. Drawn out here but will be prominent again. Shadow Of Love scored good wins at her first two runs last campaign over 1100m and 1200m before going down by a half head to Olentia at Hawkesbury when shooting for the hat-trick. Led all-the-way to win her recent Wyong trial. Waikiki resumes from a spell and has placed runner-up in both previous first-up runs. Has a good record at the trip and at this track.

Bet:Afterlight to win.
