Race 2 No. 1: Centre Bounce

The Matt Dunn-trained mare chased home smart stablemate Derry Grove at Randwick then didn’t get a lot of room in the straight at the same track in another Highway. Well placed to break through.

NEXT BEST

Race 4 No. 12: Bertinelli

Another from the powerful Dunn stable. Has been unlucky when runner-up in both runs back from a spell. Can overcome the wide gate.

BEST BET

Race 2 No. 2: Mural Crown

The Godolphin colt tracked the leader and took the inside run to score a nice win from Magic and Les Vampires on debut at Canterbury. Back from a let-up and can win again.

VALUE BET

Race 5 No. 3: Drums Of War

Handy effort on debut when he jumped straight before going down by a short neck to the swooping Navy Blood at Newcastle. Drawn to lead and can give this race a shake.

RACE 5

Bean Foggy will appreciate a drop back in grade and can break through. Just nosed out by Too Good To Be Tru in the Maclean Cup at Grafton followed by a seventh at Eagle Farm before a third to Wategos in the Murwillumbah Cup. Solid form for a race like this and drawn to get the right run. Ambridge carried 62kg when a three length third to Silver Canvas (58kg) at Grafton last start and meets him on level weights this time. He’s A Devil is coming off a nice two length win over 1536m here two weeks ago at his only run at the track. Drawn barrier 1 again.

Bet: Bean Foggy to win

RACE 6

Maximum Vortex raced outside the leader before fading in the straight and beating just one home behind Muschialli in a Bm 75 at Doomben last time out. Won a Class 2 at Grafton by two and a half lengths when leading all-the-way before a second to Devastating at Eagle Farm on Aug 5. Clifton Springs led and was too good for Fortyfive Parklane over 1120m here two weeks ago. Fortyfive Parklane meets him 0.5kg better this time. Greyworm scored a big win under 62.5kg in the Murwillumbah Newmarket two starts back before taking on stronger company at Doomben last time out.

Bet: Maximum Vortex to win

RACE 7

Holstein blew his rivals away with a five length win in a Class 3 TAB Highway at Rosehill on Aug 5 before carrying 61kg to win a Bm70 at the Sunshine Coast 18 days later. Settled midfield and just held his ground when sixth to Beaufort Park in a Bm85 at Eagle Farm last weekend. On the quick back-up, drawn ideally and can bounce back. Savvy Lad is shooting for a hat-trick after impressive win in the Tygalgah Cup at Murwillumbah and Lismore Cup Prelude. Also drawn well. A Deel Of Humour started favourite in the Cup Prelude here two weeks ago and sat last in the field of five before finishing a safely held third. Was runner up to Savvy Lad at Murwillumbah before that. Without Revenge is a winner over 2012m at Newmarket.

Bet: Holstein to win

RACE 8

Rock Together was okay first-up when fourth behind Chikara over 1000 and appreciated stepping up to 1215m when an all-the-way winner from My Odette at Grafton on Sept 11. Goes to 1410m for the first time but should have no problems with the extra trip. Former Victorian Hollywood Park resumed for new trainer David Vandyke fourth behind the in-form Derry Grove in a Class 2 over 1100m at Ipswich before stepping up to a Bm65 when midfield behind Winston Smurfhill over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Spill The Secret improved off his first-up fifth at Ipswich when a length third to Mount Fuji at the Sunshine Coast last start. Can improve again.

Bet: Rock Together to win

RACE 5

Drums Of War was just caught on the line by Navy Blood after leading at Newcastle on debut and jockey Tim Clark losing his whip with about 100m to go. He’s drawn to be on speed again with another brilliant judge of pace in Adam Hyeronimus taking over. First Person raced a little greenly on debut when fifth behind Zoukerette and Tutta La Vie at Canterbury back in May. Spelled after that run and has trialled nicely this time in including an all-the-way win on the Beaumont on Sept 4. Rhettara was in the market on debut but had a poor recovery after finishing down the track at Warwick Farm in October last year. Trialling very well. Le Parrain is a debutant by Street Boss. Picked up when asked to finish second to First Person in that trial.

Bet: Drums Of War each-way

RACE 6

Ballroom Bella found a pretty handy race to make her debut in when seventh behind Kimochi on the Kensington back in March after racing outside the leader. Returned from a spell with a dominant two and a half-length win from Bonita Queen here on Sept 2. Can go back-to-back. Gilmore won her maiden by over five lengths at Wyong in April before a fourth to Sports Legend at Warwick Farm and a third to the speedy Frilled at Kembla in May. Handy trial at Randwick on Sept 8. Betsy’s Flag won over this track and distance first-up then was fifth to Jedibeel at Wyong. Narrowly beaten by London in a Warwick Farm trial since.

Bet: Ballroom Bella to win

RACE 7

Mural Crown was scratched from Warwick Farm on Wednesday to run here. Stalked speed on fence and took a rails run to beat Magic and Les Vampires at Canterbury on July 26. Given an easy trial on the synthetic at Warwick Farm on Aug 31. Fludway will take benefit from his first-up third to Cripps Tonite here over 1100m two weeks ago. He won second-up last campaign. Critique is ready to kick off her second campaign after three barrier trials. Has won to of them at Randwick including her latest heat from Mayrose on Aug 25. The King will improve from his first-up second to Jedibeel at Wyong.

Bet: Mural Crown to win

RACE 8

Capital Asset drops back in grade after some handy efforts at the midweeks. Got on heels and stumbled when fifth to Whinchat at Canterbury before a fourth to Silvanito on the Kensington two weeks ago. Putt For Dough covered ground when always well back behind Bunker Hut at Rosehill last start. Smart win at Kembla and solid second to Super Bright at Rosehill before that. Momack is back in grade and distance. Placed three from five on his home track. Will give a sight. Nullify is coming off a handy win at Goulburn and drops 6.5kg.

Bet: Capital Asset to win
