DESLEIGH Forster has assured punters Cylinder Beach is fit enough to win first-up as the trainer attempts the once-in-a-blue-moon feat of a stable trifecta at Doomben on Saturday.

It could be the Forster Show in the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic (1630m) with UBET bookies marking her horses Too Good To Refuse ($4.80), Cylinder Beach ($5.50) and I’m Belucci ($7.50) the top three in betting.

Forster insists any of her trio can win but feels the resuming Cylinder Beach will get a cosy run from barrier four while the stablemates will have a tougher task from wider gates.

The race is likely to be a good guide to future Winter Carnival prospects with Cylinder Beach and I’m Belucci on a path towards the Group 1 Queensland Derby on June 11.

Cylinder Beach appears to have enormous potential, judging from his fourth behind Press Statement in last year’s Group 1 J.J. Atkins and his maiden win by seven lengths at Doomben in November.

The gelding suffered a slight leg injury and was spelled but Forster said he had been impressive at recent exhibition gallops and was fit enough to win at the unconventional mission of first-up at a mile.

“I think everyone will be impressed with how mature and athletic Cylinder Beach looks in the yard on Saturday,’’ Forster said.

“I am really happy with his work and I think he has developed into a serious racehorse.

“He looks to get all the favours from the barrier and he could box seat. I am sure at some stage in the straight he will look the winner.’’

While Forster has a good opinion of the classy Cylinder Beach, she said she was only leaning to him tomorrow because of the barrier.

She said there was nothing between Cylinder Beach and I’m Belucci at trackwork, while Too Good To Refuse enjoyed a confidence-boosting win at Toowoomba recently.

Forster is known for her enthusiasm while cheering her horses and the noise may be heard several suburbs away on Sunday if she runs the trifecta.

“It would not surprise me if any of my three horses won this race,’’ Forster said. “Too Good To Refuse is rock-hard fit and he may just be too good for them on the day.

“I sure am hoping they can run the trifecta.’’

Michael Cahill will ride Cylinder Beach while Ryan Wiggins and Luke Dittman have been booked for Too Good To Refuse and I’m Belucci.
