BEST BET
BERKSHIRE BREEZE (R8 No.6): Berkshire Breeze has been running well this prep, losing out in a thrilling battle with progressive stayer Deakin in the Roy Higgins last start. The Ciaron Maher stayer should still be near his top at his fourth run of the campaign and will get a strong tempo to suit if he doesn’t settle too far from the leaders.
NEXT BEST
WAR MACHINE (R9 No.4): War Machine has trialled well for his return. He tackled some hot races during the spring, beaten less than a length by subsequent Group 2 Baraqiel first-up before finishing a close third in the Group 3 Silver Eagle and three lengths behind English raider Lake Forrest in the Golden Eagle.
VALUE BET
SNEAKY SUNRISE (R7 No.2): Sneaky Sunrise was one of many horses who struggled on a deteriorating Valley track last time out. Two starts back she finished third in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes, four lengths behind superstar filly Treasurethe Moment.
THE JOCKEY
CASUAL GHAI (R1 No.2 – $21), SUANCES (R2 No.10 – $6), VERDAD (R3 No.2 – $2.45), VESTAS (R6 No.1 – $3), MOVIN OUT (R7 No.11 – $5.50), BERKSHIRE BREEZE (R8 No.6 – $2.50), HEDGED (R9 No.2 – $5.50).
