AZOUSTIC (Race 5 No 1, $3.70)

Struck form with a vengeance winning past two starts impressively and no reason he can’t make it three straight in this grade. Has to contend with 64kg but is within 2kg of the other main chances.

NEXT BEST

PENTIRE’S SPIRIT (Race 6 No 2, $6)

Ran on strongly to win 1609m last start at Hamilton and step up to 2200m should suit. In astute stable and with Declan Bates aboard odds look appealing.

ENIGMA (Race 8 No 3, $3)

Was having third start for new stable when solid effort winning over this course and distance. Drawn out a bit but gets the 3kg claim and set to win again.

BEST VALUE

STAR KILLER (Race 4 No 6, $12)

Not disgraced when midfield last start at Warrnambool after third at that track, both over 1400m. Shapes as the 1600m will suit and double figure odds worth a ticket each-way.

Full book of rides and nothing in double figures with a handful of favourites has Dean Yendall clearly the jockey to follow.
