BEST BET

OYSTER LANE (R4 No.3): Oyster Lane was nabbed late on debut by smart colt Sonofkirk in a fast race at Caulfield. He stays at the 1000m (albeit down the Flemington straight now) and should improve on that run and looks a very promising two-year-old.

NEXT BEST

SAYEDATY SADATY (R8 No.7): Sayedaty Sadaty broke through for his first Australian win at the track and distance after two placings. The Ciaron Maher import can hold that form fourth-up and will take some beating again with Craig Williams on board.

ARCORA (R2 No.2): Arcora has placed in both runs this prep at Flemington and is ready to step up to 1800m. He led the field last time out but is probably better suited having a back to follow.

LAY OF THE DAY

LA FRACAS (R6 No.8): La Fracas has won his past two on heavy tracks, he has to step up in grade and Flemington is unlikely to worse than a Soft 5 or 6.
