ANOTHER WIL (R9 No.2 – $3.70)

Another Wil defeated Jimmysstar in the Linlithgow Stakes despite being held up in the run, and there’s no reason why he can’t beat his stablemate again in the Sir Rupert Clark Stakes. He should map perfectly from barrier five and get clear running whereas backmarker Jimmysstar could find traffic with barrier one.

Aeliana relished a fast tempo to score an easy win against the males from the back of the field in the Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington on Derby. She’ll get back from the wide draw but the speed should be on again here. The Chris Waller filly is one of only three runners in the Thousand Guineas to have run over 1600m and has already proven she can run out a strong mile.

The James Cummings-trained gelding was last seen in a three-year-old handicap race in May where he finished unplaced but was found to have had mucus in his throat when scoped. He won a Benchmark 70 race the start before with Mark Zahra, who takes the ride on Saturday.
