SAMANGU (R4 No.4 – $2.15)

Samangu resumed from a long lay-off with a commanding two-length win at Ballarat over 1100m. The four-year-old mare has drawn wide but should push forward in a race with not much speed.

NEXT BEST

HAWKINS (R7 No.10 – $4.40)

Hawkins broke his maiden at start No.2 over 1600m at Seymour after settling a long way back. He won by just a head but there was a six-length gap to third. He’s bred to stay so the step up to 1800m will suit.

VALUE BET

PRESSER (R8 No.10 – $7)

Presser has finished second in his past three starts and can go close again here in a similar grade.
