WYONG INSIDE MAIL
RACE 1: 2YO HANDICAP (1350m)
CONGRESSMAN settled back before finishing third behind subsequent Black Opal winner King Of Pop over 1100m at Warwick Farm on debut. Will be better for the run and step up in trip. COBRA CLUB finished a neck second to Within The Law in the Inglis Nursery in December. Had a tough run first-up in the Inglis Millennium before a second to Strada Varenna at Canterbury. FROSTFIRE scored a handy win at Newcastle on debut before a third to Kilman at Warwick Farm
BET: CONGRESSMAN to win
RACE 2: MAIDEN PLATE (1100m)
SHIVERMEPINK was first-up for over 10 months when third to Sneaky Choice at Gosford on Mar 10. Given time to get over then run and has had an easy trial at Randwick. NOW IS THE HOUR was bumped a couple of times by different runners soon after the start and went back to last before running home for fourth to Flying Above when resuming at Canterbury on Feb 7. Blinkers go on for the first time. OLUFSEN worked home OK when fourth to Captain Eagle in his Mar 6 Rosehill trial.
BET: SHIVERMEPINK to win
RACE 3: BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (1000m)
PHOTOGRAPHICS stalked the speed and raced home to win a Randwick Midway by over a length from Shall Be over 1000m on Feb 15 before a third to Catch The Glory in the same grade over 1100m. Gets an ideal run from the draw with good speed in the race. WONDEREACH was rewarded for a solid campaign with a stylish all-the-way win from Admitted over 1000m at Warwick Farm two weeks ago. Drawn the pole and drops to 56kg with the claim. JOISELLE and BOMAREA won’t be far away.
BET: PHOTOGRAPHICS to win
RACE 4: MAIDEN HANDICAP (1600m)
MISSION GIANT was outside the leader and come under hard riding around the bend before kicking back late for a three-quarter-length second to Sun Invictus over 1350m here first-up. Extra trip should suit. BENDRODT has placed his last four runs and five from seven overall. He raced keenly when third to Majorca Sunset at Warwick Farm last start. Was a three-quarter-length third to Canny Queen on debut here. Will be thereabouts again. EXISTENTIAL BOB ended his first campaign with two handy placings. Nice recent Rosehill trial.
BET: MISSION GIANT to win
RACE 5: BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (2100m)
Imported gelding SEVEN’S has been good in his two Australian starts finishing third to Puntin over 1600m and third to Bacio Del Mist over 2110m both at Warwick Farm. Should be at his peak now. FULFILLED is knocking on the door after placing at three of his last four starts including a close third to Bullets High here on Jan 11. Drawn well. DECADENT TALE needed her early runs before a third to Philipsburg and a close second to Bacio Del Mist both at Warwick Farm over a similar trip to this.
BET: SEVEN’S to win
RACE 6: BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1200m)
IMPERIAL FORCE kicked off his campaign with a stylish win by nearly three lengths from Zouprince over 1100m at Rosehill on Feb 26. Is a second-up winner over 1250m. MISS BUSSLINGER was bumped just after the start and settled back on the rails. Was doing her best over the last 50m when sixth to Balkans in the Sprint Series Final over 1100m at Canterbury. She is a second-up winner and the 1200m should suit. PRESIDENT resumed from a long spell with a narrow win at Rosehill on Feb 26. Given time to get over the run.
BET: IMPERIAL FORCE to win
RACE 7: BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (1350m)
SYDNEY BOWLER resumed from a long lay-off at Canterbury on Feb 28 when fourth to Mafia after being held up until the 150m and hitting the line well. LITTLE BEGINNINGS was narrowly beaten by Junqueira at Canterbury on Feb 14 before a head second to Osman in the Mudgee Cup nine days later. PLEASURE ARTIST went from a close fourth over 1200m at Kembla to fifth in the Group 1 VRC Oaks all in her first preparation. Nice Rosehill trial win on Mar 6.
BET: SYDNEY BOWLER to win
RACE 8: BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1350m)
HALLETT dipped at the start and settled near last then had little room until the 100m when fourth to Gangsta Granny at Canterbury first-up. Drawn well and expect to see her race much handier. WEEPING WOMAN bounced back from a wide run first-up when fourth with an all-the-way win over 1100m at Canterbury. Led early before taking a sit when second to Gangsta Granny there last start. Wide draw is the query. LITTLE JEANIE can run well fresh.
BET: HALLETT each-way
