WYONG INSIDE MAIL

RACE 1: F&M BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1200m)

HYPERBOLIC is chasing a hat-trick after ending last prep with consecutive wins at Newcastle and Hawkesbury. Nice Hawkesbury trial win on Feb 24 after sitting outside the leader. Zac Wadick claims 1.5kg. MOONLIGHT GRACE got back and closed well along the rails for fourth first-up. Is a Midway winner and can run a cheeky race at her best. TEHINA battled away well for second to Gogmagog when giving away 6kg first-up here over 1000m before jumping in grade when sixth to Battle Hymn at Canterbury.

BET: Hyperbolic to win

RACE 2: MAIDEN PLATE (1000m)

ALPINE SKI was beaten a nose on debut at Kembla and was beaten under a length when fourth at Warwick Farm. Bled when second to Theblade on the Kensington on Aug 14. Now gelded and kept under a tight hold in both trials. EXTREME DIVA had strong two-year-old form including a third to Switzerland in the Pierro Plate and a third to Manaal in the Sweet Embrace. Resumes for her third prep off two nice trials including a Warwick Farm heat win. MIA BALLERINA is knocking on the door.

BET: Alpine Ski to win

RACE 3: MIDWAY MAIDEN HANDICAP (1300m)

EMPUSA was safely held in her three runs of her first campaign. Resumed for the Doyle stable with a game short half-head third to Inspired Star over 1300m at Hawkesbury three weeks ago. Will give this a shake. PIPERITA battled for fourth behind Lilac and Embassy on debut here last August before a 2½-length seventh to El Castello at Warwick Farm. Trialling well. DARE TO FLY was safely held behind Written Scandal here last start. Handy third to Royal Commodore on debut on the Kensington.

BET: Empusa to win

RACE 4: SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1600m)

MISSION GRANT may not have handled the heavy conditions when last behind Llewellyn on debut at Kembla last September. Resumed with a handy three-quarter-length second to Sun Invictus over 1350m here on Feb 27. Look like he will relish the 1600m. STORMBRINGER debuted with a third to Istolea Merc over 1200m at Nowra before a three-length third to Maison Louis at Goulburn after leading. Drawn well and could take catching. ELLE HAZEL was OK when fourth first-up and will appreciate the extra trip.

BET: Mission Grant to win

RACE 5: BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1600m)

KENMARE BAY raced well in his first campaign including a Kembla Super Maiden win over 1600m third-up. Kicked off this prep with a handy second to Lugarno over 1350m here. IRISH BLISS was beaten a nose by Rennata over 1625m here on Dec 21 before a three-quarter-length third to Magnatear on Jan 11 over and 1600m here on Jan 11. Just behind the placegetters in two runs since. OAKFIELD PRINCE has two wins and two seconds from six starts over this track and distance.

BET: Kenmare Bay to win

RACE 6: BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1350m)

PRINCE OF SORTS will take improvement from his first-up seventh behind Welcometobarbados in the Prov-Midway Championship Qualifier at Newcastle on Mar 1. Won his maiden second-up over 1100m and was an all-the-way winner over 1400m. INVASIVE DREAMS resumed for a new stable with back-to-back wins in at Muswellbrook and the Queen of The North at Port Macquarie. Raced keenly but made some ground when sixth in the Mudgee Cup. INVADE AND CONQUER took a while to win his maiden but he is very consistent. Will figure prominently.

BET: Prince Of Sorts to win

RACE 7: BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1000m)

TRIPLE TEMPO improved with each run of her first campaign culminating with a big all-the-way win at Orange. Led and set big leads and was strong to the line winning both recent trials by huge margins. Will take catching. GOGMAGOG was solid in his first three runs before hitting his peak with back-to-back wins over this track and distance. Gets a 2kg claim and a good gate. SNEAKY CHOICE defied a betting drift on debut to land a nice win from Miss Judas over 1000m at Gosford on Feb 22.

BET: Triple Tempo to win

RACE 8: CG&E BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1200m)

RAMONES was shaded in front and gave a kick on the corner before finishing fourth to Kaihoko in a Class 3 Highway at Canterbury last start. Led when third to the in-form Welcometobarbados at Newcastle on Feb 15 both over 1250m. Will go close. COLOPHON led and was just caught late when a nose second to Duck Egg Blue at Kembla on Feb 25. Winkers go on but wide gate is a query. EDGE OF MIDNIGHT has been racing well over 1000m of late. His two wins were over 1300m so the extra trip suits.

BET: Ramones each-way
