Unbeaten filly Gerringong joins stablemate Lady Of Camelot in $3 million Magic Millions Sunlight
Blue Point daughter Gerringong has two wins from two starts and will chase a lucrative prize early in her career on the Gold Coast.
Unbeaten filly Gerringong will face off with Golden Slipper-winning stablemate Lady Of Camelot in the inaugural $3 million Magic Millions Sunlight (1200m) after a slot deal was today struck for the new three-year-old feature.
Magic Millions announced the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained three-year-old would run in their slot for the feature event, set to be staged for the first time on the Gold Coast on January 4.
The deal was revealed a day after Lady Of Camelot was named to run in the Go Bloodstock & Waterhouse-Bott Racing slot.

Gerringong is yet to scale the same heights as her Group 1-winning stablemate but has made an enormous impression in two starts to date for Tulloch Lodge.
The daughter of Blue Point is twice a winner at Canterbury over 1100m, including a strong victory last Friday night in Sydney.
Gerringong is raced by former Magic Millions part-owner and businessman John Singleton in partnership with some rugby league royalty.
Eels premiership winners Mick Cronin, Bob O’Reilly and Peter Wynne are joined by Jets legends Barry Wood, Phil Sigsworth and Col Murphy as part of the connections.

Singleton recently downsized his racing interests but kept ownership of Gerringong.
“This filly is one of just two I kept when dispersing and you could call it a bit of luck (she was retained),” Singleton said in a release.
“She has certainly been impressive at her only two starts.
“The really exciting thing is that Tim Clark has said he hasn’t got anywhere near her bottom yet – he thinks there could be another gear!
“To be involved with one of my greatest mates in Gerry (Harvey) in this exciting new race certainly means a lot.
“We have been mates since I was about 26 and I’m nearer 90 these days. It’s been an enduring friendship – something really special.”
Gerringong is a $9 chance in betting for the Sunlight with Lady Of Camelot ($2.20 favourite) edging unbeaten colt Private Harry ($4) at the top of the betting.
