Rosehill tips and race-by-race preview for Saturday

Shayno: Hello Mitchy. Straight off the bat, I was wrong about Storm Boy (by four lengths) when he won first-up but I am going to pad-up and take him on again, this time I’ll be with the aptly-named Fearless.

Mitch: Don’t mistake me for being neutral in the Run To The Rose, Shayno. I’m Switzerland! Enough with the dad jokes though. I really like the Chris Waller-trained colt. He’s first up but has looked to have come back really well to my eye in a couple of recent trials.

Shayno: When the noms came out for the Sheraco, I never imagined the price differential between Joliestar ($1.80) and Sunshine In Paris ($4.20). Sure, Joliestar was awesome first-up but I think Sunshine In Paris has the deeper form. You?

Mitch: I’ve got them the other way around. I reckon Joliestar has come back enormous and surely is named as an Everest slot holder by Monday when she wins again. Tipping Sunshine In Paris will run well but she will be running for second.

Shayno: Sticking with the NZ 1000 Guineas winner Molly Bloom at her Waller debut in the Theo Marks. She was scratched the Tramway last week when I liked her. This is easier which is why she is $21 and not $61 like she was before the Tramway.

Mitch: Sticky gate has me concerned she will be going back and working home late, Shayno. I’m with New Energy. His debut run in Australia last preparation behind Phearson in the Liverpool City Cup was enormous before losing his way at his next two. Keen to give him another chance now he’s acclimatised Down Under.

Shayno: Just so I can get it on the record (in case I am right), I reckon that Lady Shenandoah will be the big mover among the 3YO fillies this season. She’s got everything going for her. She’s got 53kg in a very winnable race on Saturday. She’s my best all day.

Mitch: Oh boy. We are going head-to-head in the best bet department my friend. I’m with Clear Proof. John Thompson has his stable flying and this colt has given every indication he will relish the 1400m of the Ming Dynasty. Big watch on Henlein late too!

Shayno: Will be keeping a good eye on the flucs when it comes to Firestorm too half way during the day.

Mitch: Have something on Unflinching in the last for me Shayno. Happy punting.
