ROSEHILL FIELDS AND FORM: Stars aplenty as spring hots up on Saturday

There are Group 1 horses scattered across four mouth watering stakes races at Rosehill on Saturday and the fields and form are online.

The spring stocks of some of Australia’s best three-year-olds go on the line in a clash at Rosehill on Saturday in the $300,000 Group 2 Run To The Rose.

The 1200m contest is run under set weights and penalties and is the main lead-up to the stallion making Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) at the western Sydney track on September 28.

A field of 10 has been declared for the Run To The Rose headed up by San Domenico Stakes winner Storm Boy, Godolphin’s Group 1-placed colt Traffic Warden, former West Australian The Everest contender Bustling, John O’Shea and Tom Charlton’s Group 1-placed colt Linebacker and Chris Waller’s exciting colts Switzerland and Emirate.

Another exciting clash will be the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes where more possible The Everest contenders are set to clash over 1200m.

Early spring sensation Joliestar will be back in action against last year’s winner Sunshine In Paris along with the likes of Kiwi Group 1 winner Belclare, Goodwood winner Royal Merchant and stablemate Tiz Invincible in the nine horse contest.

Other feature races on the card are the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) where Doncaster winner Celestial Legend resumes and a competitive Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m).

The Rosehill track was rated a soft (5) at acceptance time. The rail will be in the 5-metre position on Saturday.

Saturday’s 10-race program commences at 11.50am with the final event to be run at 5.15pm.
