The Listed Rosebud headlines the Rosehill card on Saturday and here is what the jockeys had to say about their mounts’ performances in selected races on the program.

The jockey reviews for all the runners in each of Saturday’s main races are below.

Race 1 –Schweppes 3YO Benchmark 72 Handicap (1300m)

1st - AUTUMN GLOW (Tyler Schiller) That felt good. It’s nice to get on a good one for Sydney’s leading stable. She jumped, travelled and did everything right. She’ll get further for sure in the future and there’s plenty of upside. A really nice horse in the making.

2nd - DAWN SERVICE (Tim Clark) He ran well stepping up from a maiden to Saturday company. He still wanted to run around a bit in the straight too so he’ll be better for the experience again.

3rd - IRON HAWK (Reece Jones) He’s still very raw. I can’t wait for the day Gary (Portelli) puts the blinkers on him. He hasn’t a clue what’s going on out there, but he’s got a really bright future and he’ll appreciate stepping up further in trip.

4th - GETAFIX (Kerrin McEvoy) Travelled well but he didn’t find what I thought he would.

5th - CANNY QUEEN (Rachel King) She stepped up a lot in grade today and I thought she ran well. When she gets to a mile, 2000m you will see the best of her.

6th - JUST PARTY (James McDonald) Forget he went around. Something’s not right, maybe heart arrhythmia.

Race 6 – Listed Rosebud (1100m)

1st - GATSBY’S (James McDonald) He’s a really good horse. He’s a sprinter that’s so adaptable. Wet, dry, forward, back. I don’t think he’ll stretch past 1400m. He’s a horse that’s always shown us heaps at home since day one. It’s all ahead of him.

2nd - CLEAR PROOF (Chad Schofield) Very good run coming out of maiden grade. He’s a very promising horse that will relish stepping up in trip. He’s got a very bright future.

3rd - HIGH OCTANE (Tommy Berry) Really nice run. We got tightened up at a crucial stage early in the straight. When the run reappeared, I loved the way he stretched out running through it and how strong he was through the line. He’ll appreciate more ground and he’ll improve from that run too.

4th - ASTAPOR (Tyler Schiller) He ran well. He was pretty keen, but he quickened up nicely then got a bit tired late. He can acquit himself down here when he learns to settle a bit better.

5th - SHANGRI LA EXPRESS (Tim Clark) He was brave with the big weight first-up. He had to bring them up to the tearaway leader and will improve from the outing.

6th - BRAVE ONE (Jay Ford) He went ok. He’s only a baby that is still learning his race craft and how to execute. Don’t write him off.

7th - TARPAULIN (Zac Lloyd (a)) Not the performance we’d hoped for but he’s got more ability than that. Whether he’s come to the end of the preparation or not, I’ll leave that up to James (Cummings) and the team to decide.

Race 8 – Precise Air Open Handicap (1400m)

1st - TOM KITTEN (James McDonald) He’s returned in really nice order. He looks phenomenal, a really big boy. He didn’t quicken up fast but by the time he got to his top, he was really motoring. The last 300, wow. Tom’s back.

2nd - AMOR VICTORIOUS (Joshua Parr) My bloke ran really well but we were stiff to run into a horse of that calibre in a ratings race.

3rd - LAVISH EMPIRE (Tyler Schiller) The step up in trip suited him, he was just beaten by a couple of classy horses. He’s going well, just needs the right race and set up to be winning.

4th - EXCELLADUS (Reece Jones) He doesn’t know how to run a bad race. He was probably in the worst ground in the straight.

5th - UCALLEDIT (Dylan Gibbons) Much improved run, very happy with the way he’s come back.

6th - CEOLWULF (Jay Ford) The start wasn’t ideal and it cost him any chance but he closed off really well and will only improve.

7th - HINGED (Benjamin Osmond (a3)) They outsprinted her and she probably wants it a bit wetter.

8th - BLAZE A TRAIL (Tim Clark) I thought he was honest. He’ll keep improving with racing.

9th - COMMUNIST (Tommy Berry) Not sure what to make of him. The jury’s out.

10th - CUBAN ROYALE (Rachel King) He’s going really well but they just had a bit too much class today.

11th - FRANCESCO GUARDI (Zac Wadick (a3)) His run was better than it looked. They went steady and quickened up so he didn’t make ground, but he was building well right to the line. I think he’s in for a good prep.

Race 9 – Rosehill Bowling Club Benchmark 88 Handicap (1900m)

1st - ETNA ROSSO (James McDonald) He’s a really nice prospect. A typical Chris Waller-trained horse that has found his feet and will just work through the grades. Races like the Wyong and Newcastle Cup are really going to suit him. I’m not saying he can win a Caulfield Cup but he’s got a similar profile to a horse like Durston.

2nd - ENOTIS (Tyler Schiller) We got stitched up early and posted out three wide but I thought he stuck to his task really well.

3rd - MASCARET (Tommy Berry) She going really well but just found a couple too good for her. Provided she continues to find tracks with give in the ground, she’ll continue to run well.

4th - VICTORY ROLL (Rachel King) Super run. He just keeps stepping up to every challenge put to him.

5th - ONE AYE (Reece Jones) Tough and tenacious effort. Three deep with cover and she always felt like she was working into the run but to sprint off that and finish where she did was a tremendous effort.

6th - MONFELICITY (Chad Schofield) She ran well and did it when not racing in the best ground in the straight. At her peak now.

7th - THE ENGLISHMAN (Zac Lloyd (a)) Got squeezed up out of the gates and that put us back further than I’d have liked. He ran ok after that.

8th - FORTUNE (Jason Collett) Travels too well and may need a bit of ground.

9th - MAJESTIC STYLE (Jay Ford) She ran ok. Needs to step back up in trip to a mile and a half.

10th - MONARCHS BRAE (Tim Clark) He got found out a bit today.

11th - MATUSALEM (Kerrin McEvoy) He didn’t get the tempo to suit and wasn’t able to build into the race like he needs. The horse is well and 2000m at Randwick will suit.

12th - DREAMFLIGHT (Adam Hyeronimus) He was beaten a fair way out.

13th - UNANIMOUS (Joshua Parr) Something not right with him.
