Super progressive type that’s only in his second preparation. Is only coming off a class one win at Kembla but he looked as though he had plenty of improvement in him and he showed enough ability in his first prep to suggest he could win a race like this.

From John Thompson’s yard, this mare came from a fair way back to swamp her rivals and scored over this course and distance on Sept 23. Has the claim here for Regan Bayliss to help offset the weight rise and when mares are in form, they can generally be relied on to repeat the dose.

Miss Antaeus is only lightly raced but importantly has winning Warwick Farm form to assist her claims. Kerrin McEvoy engagement is a positive sign. Value hope.

Has always shown talent. Indeed, this is the horse that ran second in the Skyline Stakes at only his second race start. Fast forward to when he was a 3YO and he was placed in The Sebring and the Canberra Guineas. It’s been something of a long and winding road for the son of Northern Meteor having changed trainers and of course, there was the injury that put him of business for a while. His recent trials suggest he's in great nick. He resumes at home over the right trip. Re the 61kgs, it’s a limit 55kgs, and he’s quite a big horse.

Brave effort in far stronger race last start when not beaten far in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude. Will find this much easier.

Great run last start in the Let’s Elope Stakes. Undefeated in two starts at Caulfield and step up to 1600m will suit.

SIMON MOY (Superracing)

Race 3, No. 4

Gets her chance for win No. 3 when she steps out today. Drops in class and should be approaching peak fitness third-up for the Smerdon camp over 2000m. Definite claims.

MURRAY BRIDGE

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser)

LORD ASPEN

Race 8, No. 3

Class four-year-old who sat off the speed and couldn’t close in a leader dominated Flemington race last time out. First-up win was super, he has the blinkers on, barrier 2 and out to 1600m.

Should be too good for these.
