CANTERBURY

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph)

CHEEKY BABE

Race 6, No. 10

From the David Pfieffer yard, this filly challenged strongly to just miss here on December 30. Has been freshened-up and looks ready to win with the in-form Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph)

ASHKANND

Race 4, No. 5

Struck form on a heavy track at Warwick Farm last month then burdened by huge impost and not disgraced when close-up in a strong form race there on January 20. Freshened and plummets four and a half kilograms in weight. Tough nut to crack.

SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman)

LET’S MAKE IT RAIN

Race 6, No. 1

A quality colt that is taking on the older horses but he is a winner here and that last trial — second to G1 winner Rich Enuff — was an absolute beauty.

SANDOWN (Hillside)

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun)

SAMARTESTED

Race 8, No. 7

Smart mare fitter for good run on first-up effort at Flemington. Group 2 placegetter last February. Looks well placed in this.

STRATHALBYN

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser)

GALAXY GAZER

Race 4, No. 2

Lightly raced gelding who showed his share of ability last campaign. Twice been late scratching after breaking through barriers this preparation but only needs to behave himself to be hard to beat in this field.
