CANTERBURY
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph)
BACHELOR HEIR
Race 7, No. 17
Sheer dominance displayed when resuming and the times breakdown suggest the horse is well up to this grade. Tricky barrier but looks the best on a very tough day.

THE SPECIAL TWO
Race 7, No. 7
This mare from the James Cummings yard scored over 1200m Wyong in October 2014. She resumed from that long spell with a length win over 1200m here on September 2, looking very impressive. Kept up to the mark with a solid 3rd in a 742m Randwick barrier trial on October 2 and looks very hard to hold out again here.
SHAYNE O’CASS (The Sportsman)
SANAYA
Race 2, No. 6
Is a first starter by More Than Ready out of Astrodame, a stakeswinning daughter of Flying Spur. The MTR/Flying Spur nick has produced 7 stakeswinners, the most prominent of which is Golden Slipper winner Sebring. This Vinery owned and bred filly has trialled twice and done well both times. She was fifth to subsequent debut winner Cana on September 15 heat then was running on big time at the end on her September 29 heat at Rosehill.
BALLARAT
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun)
MEGALOPOLIS
Race 7, No. 8
Stepping up from a maiden win but this lightly raced son of Zabeel looks a nice stayer in the making. Boss sticks with him and he’ll take catching.
GAWLER
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser)
COACHELLA
Race 6, No. 1
Above average mare fitter for two runs back from a spell. She’s suited here back in class and should take a power of beating despite a tricky inside barrier with Dom Tourneur in the saddle.
