Delta Goodrem, Jon Stevens, Natalie Imbruglia part of Cup entertainment
A star-studded line-up will be providing entertainment ahead of the race that stops a nation, including Delta Goodrem.
Delta Goodrem will snap a 16-year drought between performances at the Melbourne Cup when the official entertainment gets underway on Tuesday.
Goodrem is joining former Noiseworks frontman Jon Stevens and Natalie Imbruglia as part of a star-studded line-up at Flemington.

Goodrem and Stevens will sing some of their biggest hits, before Imbruglia sings the Australian National Anthem.
“I haven’t sung in the Mounting Yard at Flemington on Cup Day since 2007,” Cup Carnival ambassador Goodrem said in a Victoria Racing Club statement.
“I’m so looking forward to taking to the stage alongside friends, Jon Stevens and Natalie Imbruglia.
“This is my fourth year as a Melbourne Cup Carnival ambassador.
“What I love most about the event is that it truly is an Australian moment, a part of our social fabric, that’s watched and loved globally.”
Imbruglia is making her first appearance at the Melbourne Cup and has never previously sung the national anthem publicly.
“This will be the first time I have ever performed the Australian National Anthem in my career and it is an honour,” she said.
