Last say: It's Terra on the track as Pride's joy is set to deliver the goods

TERRAVISTA is ready to stamp himself as a star in the making and again deliver for punters at Randwick today.

Consistent galloper Zephyron should run well at Randwick today.

Weather: Cool, cloudy day with isolated showers and a forecast top temperature of 19c.

Track: Dead (4)

Rail: True

BE WARY: Despite nearly 120mls of rain soaking the Kensington track this week, the course is rated a dead 5 with the chance of an upgrade.

This is the first Saturday meeting at Randwick's new all-weather Kensington course but the track will race truly with every runner getting their opportunity.

Racing returns to Moonee Valley for the first time since Cox Plate Day with the rail back to the true position. Race tempo rather than track bias is the key.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON

THE BEST BET: Terravista (race 5) has loads of potential, winning three of his four starts including both runs this preparation.

He was impressive first-up winning over 1000m on this track then even more impressive with his convincing win over Reflectance over 1200m at Randwick last start.

He steps up to 1400m for the first time in his career but gives every indication this distance won't trouble him at all.

Terravista is drawn a little awkwardly, coming out of the outside barrier in the 10-horse field but he does have the tactical nous of champion jockey Hugh Bowman to assist. Very talented, emerging galloper and will win again.

Calming Influence scored a strong victory last start and is only 3kg over the claim.
Calming Influence scored a strong victory last start and is only 3kg over the claim.

THE NEXT BEST: Calming Influence (race 4) has been improved by two runs from a spell and was dominant at Randwick last start easily defeating Papillon Rouge at Randwick.

The form was franked with Papillon Rouge winning next start by three lengths at Canterbury.

Calming Influence has had only five starts for two wins and two placings and is a very promising filly. Her 60kg impost is reduced by 3kg with apprentice Serg Lisnyy's claim.

She gets in only 3kg over the limit in a race against her own age and sex. She looks too good again.

VALUE BET: Territory (race 8) looked very sharp winning a barrier trial at Warwick Farm late last month.

He has been kept fresh since and that is how he races best. When resuming last campaign, he beat all but the top-class sprinter Sessions over 1000m.

His second-up record is also very good and although he hasn't won for more than three years, he gets his chance today. Territory is around the $10 mark so is excellent each way value,

THE WHISPER: Made To Order (race 2) could be anything. She was a certainty beaten on debut when a fast finishing second at Kembla Grange then won with real authority at Warwick Farm last start, putting a two-lengths margin on her rivals despite her saddle slipping.

She faces a significant rise in grade today but this filly has that X-factor about her.

Keep following her because Made To Order is going to win a lot of races.

MOONEE VALLEY

THE BEST BET: Xavi (race 4) has been improved by four runs from a spell and is working up to a win. He led for home last start and battled on very well when second to Post D'France at Flemington on Stakes Day.

He's rock-hard fit now and returns to a track where he has raced four times for a win and two placings.

Drawn to get the gun run from barrier four, well placed on the limit with 54kg and has champion jockey Glen Boss in the saddle. Xavi ticks a lot of boxes.

NEXT BEST: Zephyron (race 6) brings very good Sydney form to this race. He led throughout to beat Capital Commander at Rosehill and that horse has since won at Randwick to frank the form.

Zephyron did not have the best of luck in running last start when a close to Mulaqen at Randwick.

Fitter for three runs from a long spell and his on-pace racing style should be suited on this track.

Zephyron meets Marden slightly better at the weights and this pair should fight out the finish.

Consistent galloper Zephyron should run well at Moonee Valley today.
Consistent galloper Zephyron should run well at Moonee Valley today.

VALUE BET: Chateau Latour (race 3) unleashed a powerful finishing burst to come from last to swamp her rivals and win first-up at Bendigo three weeks ago.

Overcame horror draw to make a long sustained run to score very impressively when resuming.

Lightly-raced but promising filly who will appreciate the step up to 1600m.

Drawn awkwardly again but expect her to settle back in the field. She is great value around the $9 mark and will be finishing better than anything in this race.

THE WHISPER: Mokoro (race 1) is a well-bred Redoute's Choice filly and could not have been more impressive on debut winning by nearly three lengths at Seymour. She settled well in behind the speed and attacked the line strongly, producing a good turn of foot over the final 200m. She has to negotiate a big jump to city Saturday grade today but in-form trainer Danny O'Brien has found the right race for her as this is not overly strong. With natural improvement from her debut win, I expect Mokoro to maintain her unbeaten record.
