State Of Rest narrowly prevailed on the track to win the Cox Plate but there was much conjecture as to whether he should have retained the race in the stewards room. What do you think, should the protest have been upheld or dismissed?

Craig Williams on Anamoe tried desperately to convince stewards the star colt should be awarded the race but in the end it was too tough to overturn and the Joseph O’Brien-trained galloper finished with the honours.

However that didn’t stop social media lighting up with both sides of the argument getting plenty of airing.

So what do you think, upheld or dismissed?
