PUNTERS looking for an edge ahead of the $3.5 million Group 1 Golden Slipper at Rosehill Gardens have a new weapon - our power rankings tool.

There were 1017 horses first nominated for a place in the 16-horse field and since, under the all-in system, punters don't get a refund on any bets placed before the final field is announced in the week of the April 5 race, it can prove costly if your horse misses the cut.

While Blue Diamond champion Earthquake looks likely to make the field thanks to her $754,500 prizemoney accrued and Mossfun is exempt from ballot courtesy of her Silver Slipper win, competition is fierce to book a golden ticket.

The Golden Slipper power rankings show the official order of entry - updated weekly - and punters can also see each horse's trainer, bios, TAB odds and prizemoney to see how likely a runner is to gain a start in the 1200m feature.
