RANDWICK

Track: Heavy Soft 7. Rail: Out 4m entire circuit

Race 1

Overview: Unraced two-year-olds are always hard to work out. Infatuation comes out of the fastest heat of the day at Gosford and she has to have claims. Most of the Godolphin debutants have all trialled well. Razors probably the pick of them to me. Watch betting here!

Betting Advice: Infatuation on top perhaps.

Race 2

Overview: Typical open TAB Highway. Socrates had the bias in his favour last start but he bolted in all the same. He has really turned the corner of late. Jalmari was given a poor ride last start and really hit the line hard. The 1800m suits as does wet ground and the better draw.

Betting Advice: Not much between Jalmari and Socrates.

Race 3

Overview: Tristate will have to carry the grandstand here but he is back a long way in grade and finds a very winnable race. Astero has trialled up well enough and he generally sprints very well fresh. Plenty of other hopes!

Betting Advice: Tristate the one to beat but Astero can run well at odds.

Race 4

Overview: Interesting race with a few different angles. Willinga Rufio went too hard on speed last start and he still has upside here. Mahagoni got back in a slowly run race last start but his form prior to that was good. Naval Seal and Kermanding also in the mix.

Betting Advice: Slight leaning to Willinga Rufio.

Race 5

Overview: Very open race. War Eternal is much better than he showed last start and he can bounce back here with a light weight. Yiyi has been freshened and he finds it hard to win but he sets up well here. Diamil, Purple Sector and Bonny Ezra all have claims.

Betting Advice: War Eternal perhaps.

Race 6

Overview: Kote and Willinga Beast look the two main hopes here. Kote should be unbeaten this prep and although he found the right part of the track here a fortnight ago, he was still super strong. They got the tactics awfully wrong on Willinga Beast last start considering it was a mad leaders/rails day. She finds a really winnable race here.

Betting Advice: Not much between Kote and Willinga Beast.

Race 7

Overview: Golden Mile fell in at Group 1 level in the Caulfield Guineas last start but that’s clearly the benchmark here. He does come up with a tricky draw here though and needs to see out the Randwick mile. Communist was good last start over this track and distance. He is sure to run well again.

Betting Advice: Golden Mile the best horse but the map and Randwick mile are some queries.

Race 8

Overview: Interesting race. I’m confident She’s Extreme is the best horse but she is a risk at 2000m all the same. She was good in the Flight Stakes and just has to run out the trip. Promitto, Williamsburg, Sharp ‘N’ Smart and Elliptical are all hopes.

Betting Advice: She’s Extreme the best horse but a query at the trip.

Race 9

Overview: Even mares race but I think Nimalee should be favourite. She did too much work in the Epsom and is actually well weighted here. Icebath, Expat and Espiona among the other main hopes.

Betting Advice: Leaning to Nimalee.

Race 10

Overview: Clemenceau is having a good prep but he has drawn awkwardly here. He doesn’t want it too wet either. Bacchanalia was heavily backed last start and may have just peaked on the run a touch. Coal Crusher gets the blinkers on and must have claims second up while there are other hopes too.

Betting Advice: Clemenceau the one to beat but Coal Crusher and Samoot can both run well at odds.
