Viewers around the globe were left wondering what had happened when the WWE rushed to black out an act from fans in Perth.

Aussie WWE stars down shoeys!

The WWE was forced to black out fans in Perth during Saturday night’s wild Elimination Chamber card.

Aussie Rhea Ripley had fans on their feet when she defended her title at Optus Stadium, but the biggest crowd reaction came when Dominik Mysterio grabbed the microphone.

Mysterio was brutally shouted down by the 50,000 fans in attendance and it got so ugly WWE producers briefly pulled the plug on the live telecast.

With fans appearing to be flipping the bird to Mysterio, the telecast was blacked out without explanation.

One wrestling commentator said the entire front row of seating had shown Mysterio the middle finger.

The drama unfolded before Finn Balor and Damian Priest defended their tag team titles against British duo Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate.

Mysterio, who is also part of the Judgement Day Raw stable, entered the ring with Balor and Priest to introduce his allies — only to be booed out of the arena.

The chorus of boos was so deafening Balor was seen laughing.

In the end Dunne and Bate put Mysterio out of his misery and slammed Mysterio through the ropes with a sneak attack.

The hatred for Mysterio only increased when the match continued and he was eventually disqualified by the referee for helping Balor escape from being pinned.

It was then that the crowd turned on Mysterio and the telecast blacked out.

It comes in the same week that the WWE telecast was cut as a result of Tiffany Stratton suffering a wardrobe malfunction.

Stratton was one of the stars of the show but was defeated in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

Despite being one of the most popular wrestlers on the night, Stratton took a shot at the crowd after her loss.

“Obviously, Australia has great taste, I have to say. But maybe if they would have cheered a little bit louder, I actually would have won,” she said.

In the main event, Ripley advanced to a WrestleMania 40 showdown with Becky Lynch with a win over Nia Jax.
