Who is Karolina Sevastyanova? Model gymnast on Conor McGregor’s arm

UFC superstar Conor McGregor was snapped alongside Russian Olympic gymnast Karolina Sevastyanova in Monaco recently.

Conor McGregor just can’t seem to avoid the spotlight.

Since retiring from the UFC in June, the Irish superstar has been unwinding in France with his partner and their two children, riding jet skis and relaxing by the beach.

McGregor has never shied away from posting a cheeky video to social media. The 32-year-old shared a video to Instagram of himself smoking a suspicious-looking cigarette, winking at the camera while doing so.

The MMA fighter is also regularly sought out for selfies by fellow athletes, including former Russian Olympian Karolina Sevastyanova.

But while McGregor’s success in the Octagon is well known, not many people outside Russia know about Sevastyanova’s incredible career.

After reportedly only eating buckwheat for six months, the rhythmic gymnast won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in the group all-event.

A poll conducted in 2012 with over 17,000 responses found her to be the most beautiful female athlete at the London Games.

Having already dominated the European Championships — winning individual and group events — Sevastyanova retired from competitive gymnastics at age 17, and went on to study at Michigan State University.

In 2015, she appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine, and with over 410,000 Instagram followers, her public profile continues to grow.

But Sevastyanova has also been prone to controversy. Russian tennis player Maria Kirilenko called off her engagement with Russian ice hockey star Alexander Ovechkin after her fiance was snapped alongside the former gymnast.

Currently living in Monaco, the 25-year-old seems to be living the dream lifestyle, regularly snapped lounging by the beach or on a boat donning expensive clothes.
