Olympian Simone Biles delivers ‘ultimate clap back’ to a former Donald Trump Lawyer

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has torched a former Donald Trump lawyer on the same day she received America’s highest civilian honour.

Gymnastic powerhouse Simone Biles has slapped down negative comments from a former Donald Trump campaign lawyer.

Biles, 25, was awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden on Thursday (AEST).

It is the highest honour a civilian can receive in America.

A statement from the White House read: “Simone Biles is the most decorated American gymnast in history, with a combined total of 32 Olympic and World Championship medals.

“Biles is also a prominent advocate for athletes’ mental health and safety, children in the foster care system, and victims of sexual assault.”

Biles has 4 official gymnastic elements named after her and she was a prominent figure in the case against Larry Nassar, a former USA gymnastics team doctor serving time in prison for abusing athletes under his care.

Following the announcement of Biles’ achievement Jenna Ellis, a lawyer who worked to overturn the 2020 election, took to Twitter.

In her tweet, Ellis referred to Olympic gold medallist and two-time Women’s World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe, who was also granted the honour.

“Fittingly, Biden awarded his presidential medals to fellow losers, Biles and Rapinoe,” she wrote.

But Biles didn’t take the criticism lying down.

“Who is Jenna Ellis? Asking for everyone,” Biles wrote on Twitter.

The savage response from Biles sent fellow Twitter users wild with the tweet racking up more than 8,000 replies, 19,000 retweets and 180,000 likes at the time of writing.

Fans of the gymnastics megastar were quick to rush to her defence.

“Simone Arianne Biles won seven Olympic medals,” one man tweeted.

“Megan Anna Rapinoe won gold at the 2012 Olympics, 2015 World Cup, and 2019 World Cup.

“Jenna Ellis lost her traffic lawyer job, and 63 lawsuits as part of Giulliani’s 2020 ‘elite strike force team’.”

“The ultimate clap back!” one user wrote.

Others questioned whether Ellis knew what the definition of loser meant given her use of it.

Ellis then doubled down on her criticism of Biles, who stepped away from competition during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to her mental health at the time.

“Because Biles is a selfish quitter and Rapinoe is a boorish unAmerican bully,” Ellis tweeted.
“They’re losers, not role models.

“Biden is making a mockery of everything solemn, like the presidential medal of freedom.”
