Mia Fevola has announced she has split up with AFL star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.

The stepdaughter of footy legend Brendan Fevola confirmed the news on Instagram on Thursday.

“Thank you to everyone for all the photos and messages,’’ Mia wrote.

“Jamarra and I have now gone our separate ways, I appreciate your messages and thank you for respecting my privacy.”

Mia has wiped all traces of Ugle-Hagan from her Instagram account, which boasts 149,000 followers.

Ugle-Hagan and Mia went public with their relationship in March, when a photo of the pair together was uploaded to social media and captioned with a love heart. Previously Mia had said the two were “merely friends”, but later their relationship went to the next level.

However, Mia endured vicious social media trolling as a result of her relationship status, prompting Ugle-Hagan to post a message of support to his better half.

The attacks on Mia infuriated ex-Carlton and Brisbane forward Brendan, who slammed the double standards in how the dating habits of young men and young women are judged.

For Ugle-Hagan’s birthday in April, Mia told the footy player she appreciated him “more than words can describe” while in May, Ugle-Hagan was on hand to celebrate Mia’s 21st birthday.

The Western Bulldogs recruited Ugle-Hagan as the No. 1 overall pick at the 2020 draft but he has struggled for game time this season, making just five appearances for the club as it surged towards the Grand Final — which it lost to Melbourne in Perth last weekend.

Mia, a businesswoman who founded streetwear label MALLT Collective, posted about how proud she was of Ugle-Hagan when he got the call up to make his AFL debut this season and in August she posted a sweet message to the footy player as he hit the road with the Bulldogs for the finals series.

After slipping outside the top four at the end of the regular season, the Dogs surprised plenty by winning through to the Grand Final before being overrun by the Demons in the third and fourth quarters of Saturday night’s decider.

Mia is the eldest child of Brendan’s longtime partner Alex, but the Carlton great adopted Mia as his own daughter after marrying Alex in 2005.
