Roman Reigns’ arm ‘popped out’ in WrestleMania mayhem against Brock Lesnar

New WWE king Roman Reigns may have suffered a gruesome injury moments before his championship match was cut short.

Roman Reigns is the undisputed WWE king after taking down Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 on Monday.

In a crazy night of action where the tag team championships descended into anarchy and Vince McMahon returned to the ring with a disgusting act of betrayal, the best was served last as Reigns came back from a near broken arm to pin Lesnar.

The historic unification match at AT&T Stadium in Dallas lived up to the hype of being promoted as “the biggest match in WrestleMania history”.

The rollercoaster match appeared to be cut short after Reigns had been left screaming in agony after Lesnar locked in a Kimura arm bar hold.

Reigns fought against the hold for a full minute before he was able to reach the ropes.

TV commentator Michael Cole said on the WWE broadcast he believed Reigns shoulder had “popped out”.

“It’s out. It’s out. I believe he’s telling them his arm is out,” he said.

Moments later Reigns pulled off a miraculous recovery and ended the match with a relatively basic spearing tackle.

The underwhelming end to the fight has sparked a conspiracy theory Reigns’ arm was seriously injured, forcing an early end to the match.

New York Post journalist Joseph Staszewski posted on Twitter: “Roman Reigns defeats Brock Lesnar in a rather quick main event. Reigns may have dislocated his shoulder”.

How Reigns defeated Lesnar

Roman Reigns has become the first ever unified WWE champion as he took Brock Lesnar down in a wild match at WrestleMania 38.

The WWE has never had a unified champion since the WWE separated the Raw and SmackDown brands in 2016.

Reigns ensured his record run as Universal SmackDown champion will be extended beyond 600 days with his extraordinary win over Lesnar.

Lesnar dominated the early exchanges with a series of suplexes before he was distracted by Paul Heyman. The distraction allowed Reigns to spear Lesnar into the front row of seats.

Lesnar eventually got back on top and left Reigns on the verge of defeat when he locked in a Kimura arm bar hold.

There were fears from commentators that Reigns’ arm had been broken, but he eventually broke free and then landed the telling blow by squirming out of Lesnar’s hold as the Beast Incarnate was about to toss him to the ground.

After landing on his feet, Reigns pulled off a flying spear tackle that cut Lesnar in half.

He then pulled off the pin and left Lesnar writhing in pain on the floor of the ring.

Reigns celebrated by holding up the two belts with Heyman applauding the champion.

Wrestling world stunned by ‘disgusting’ betrayal

Steve Austin has taken out Vince McMahon and WWE debutant Pat McAfee in a bonkers co-main-event match that has left jaws dropping across the wrestling world.

Austin came from nowhere at the end of a match where the WWE chairman ambushed McAfee minutes after the former NFL punter had pulled off a miracle in pinning Austin Theory in his debut match.

McAfee, one of the most popular sports commentators in the United States, took Theory down — much to the dismay of McMahon, who was sitting ringside.

When McAfee then went and showboated in front of the WWE icon, McMahon responded by stripping off his suit and stepping into the ring.

After exchanging some heated words with McAfee the pair prepared to rumble — only for Theory to fly into the ring and hit McAfee from behind. McAfee was then tripped up by Theory in a second cheap shot.

A WWE commentator said on the TV broadcast: “That is one of the most disgusting displays of sportsmanship I’ve ever witnessed”.

That’s when Austin stepped out from the locker room to confront McMahon for the underhanded attack.

Austin took McMahon down with a trademark stunner and then proceeded to celebrate the moment by sharing a beer with McAfee in the ring.

However, Austin then turned on McAfee and executed another stunner to leave everyone in the match completely decimated.

Edge defeats AJ Styles after star’s ambush

Edge was pinned and was a microsecond away from being counted out before a miraculous comeback win against AJ Styles.

The match was turned on its head when Damian Priest appeared ringside and distracted Styles just as he was about to go in for the kill.

That interference was all Edge needed.

When Styles attempted to execute a Phenomenal Forearm, Edge timed a spear with perfection to cut Styles in half with a mid-air tackle.

Edge and Priest shared a laugh after the fight — confirming their unusual partnership.

Insane finish to women’s tag team championship

Sasha Banks and Naomi are the new women’s tag team champions after a rollercoaster.

They emerged victorious from a brutal match that had every wrestler involved in the contest writhing on the ground in pain.

They overcame the pairings of Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler and Natalya and former champions Carmella and Queen Zelina.

Banks delivered a Frogsplash on Carmella, but the champ kicked out.

Naomi eventually set Carmella up for what looked like the Gam Slam and Banks hit her at the same time with the Code Breaker.

Banks and Naomi couldn’t believe it when they were handed their belts.

Lunacy as Johnny Knoxville takes out Sami Zayn

The Jackass crew combined to put on a hell of a show as Knoxville pinned Zayn for a three count.

Knoxville hit Zayn with a taser after Wee Man and Chris Pontius gatecrashed the match.

Wrestling commentators were clearly blown away.
