Malik Beasley’s wife is reportedly divorcing the NBA star after damning photos emerged showing him holding hands with Larsa Pippen.

NBA star Malik Beasley is now free to hold hands in public with Larsa Pippen.

E! is reporting that Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, is filing for divorce just days after the scandal became public.

“Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos,” an insider told the site. “Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person.

“She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”

Earlier this week photos emerged of Pippen — the 46-year-old ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen — holding hands with 24-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves guard Beasley.

Yao was said to have been “blindsided” by the shots, TMZ reported.

“I’ve always and will forever remain true to who I am and GOD has never let me down,” she wrote on Instagram. “The truth always come out one way or another …”

In a separate message, Yao wrote: “Wow … I don’t even know this man … this is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all.”

However, sources had previously told The New York Post that Beasley and Yao have been living separate lives. Yao has been previously linked to NFL star Su’a Cravens, whom Beasley got into an altercation with last year.

Prior to his controversial outing with Pippen, Beasley said he wanted to take the mother of four on a date, asking her out via an Instagram comment.

“I just want to take you on a date and treat you like a queen,” Beasley wrote on November 16 on a Pippen post, according to a screenshot from Comments by Athletes.

Meanwhile, Pippen has cautioned fans about distinguishing fact from fiction on social media, posting a cryptic message to her Instagram story after the photos emerged.

“Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar,” Pippen wrote.

Larsa, who filed for divorce from Michael Jordan’s former right-hand man Scottie in 2018, two years after he initially did so, was spotted on Thursday returning to her Miami home.

In the wake of the scandal, Pippen’s 20-year-old son, Scotty Pippen Jr, spoke out on Twitter.

“Focused on myself and my goals. I’m not responsible for nobody’s actions. All good over here,” he wrote.

The college basketball player also liked multiple tweets with messages of support from fans feeling sorry for him being put in a difficult position by his mum’s love life as he aims to graduate to the NBA.

Larsa shares four kids with 55-year-old Scottie, including Scotty Jr.

Last month, Larsa said she had been seeing newly signed Boston Celtic Tristan Thompson prior to his romance with Khloe Kardashian, which began in 2016.

Last year Larsa emphatically denied leaving a Los Angeles nightclub with Aussie NBA star Ben Simmons, while she has also been linked to rapper Future.
