Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso said life has been good after her controversial exit from the Olympic Village in Paris amid accusations of “inappropriate” conduct.

The 20-year-old athlete — who announced her retirement from swimming after she failed to qualify for the 100-meter butterfly semi-final at the Summer Games on July 27 — shared a collage of photos to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, including a snapshot modelling a black bikini.

“Life been good,” she wrote.

Alonso sported a black hat, Nike jacket, shorts and tall boots in another photo.

Other snapshots featured a cat and a meal with Vita Coco coconut water.

She also captioned a mirror selfie at the gym, “Tired.”

Alonso, who went viral ahead of the Paris Games for a tattoo of Olympic rings on her hip, garnered attention for her alleged conduct outside of the pool.

The Paraguayan Olympic Committee said Alonso left the Olympic Village after she was instructed to do so for creating an “inappropriate” environment within the team.

Alonso later explained “false information” was being spread about her widely publicised.

“Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay,” Larissa Schaerer, head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, said in a statement to The Sun, which was published on Aug. 5.

“We thank her for proceeding as instructed, as it was of her own free will that she did not spend the night in the Athletes’ Village.”

Alonso responded in a since-expired post on her Instagram Stories.

“I just wanted to make it clear that I was never removed or expelled from anywhere, stop spreading false information,” Alonso wrote.

“I don’t want to give any statement but I’m not going to let lies affect me either.”

Alonso reportedly upset the country’s Olympic leadership by taking trips outside the Olympic Village and not supporting Team Paraguay during the Games.

She also shared photos at Disneyland Paris and shopping trips at high-end stores.

The Daily Mail reported that Alonso became a distraction to other competitors with her “skimpy clothing and socialising with other athletes.”

The outlet added that Paraguay’s Olympic Committee had an issue with her wearing her own outfits and not the team’s uniforms.

Alonso finished sixth in her heat and missed qualifying for the women’s 100-meter butterfly semi-final by just 0.24 seconds.

She announced her retirement from the sport on social media after the race.
