‘I have a confession to make’: Paul Pierce admits he had a bathroom emergency during the 2008 NBA Finals
Celtics legend Paul Pierece has just confirmed a conspiracy about the 2008 Finals and it was just as disgusting as NBA fans feared.
Finally, Paul Pierce has admitted it.
There were so many questions surrounding a particular incident during the 2008 NBA Finals, where Pierce had to be wheelchaired off the floor, only to check back into the game moments later.
The then-Boston Celtics star was accused of faking an injury, or simply being overly-dramatic. Then, there were the conspiracy theories that emerged; a prominent one: that Pierce needed to go to the bathroom.

Well, it seems as though the latter is the correct one.
Minutes before Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals — and on the 11-year anniversary of that moment — Pierce confessed on ESPN’s pre-game coverage that he needed a toilet badly.
“I have a confession to make,” Pierce said, drawing a “whoa” from fellow panellist Jalen Rose.

“I just had to go to the bathroom. I had to go to the bathroom... Something went down; I had to go to the restroom.”
The admission drew laughter and shock from the rest of the panel.
“You were streakin’?” Rose said, before Michelle Beadle quickly changed the topic.
The conspiracy theory had been around for a while, with many pointing to a stain on Pierce’s shorts as one clue:

Others pointed to Tony Allen, who had no sympathy for his ‘injured’ teammate.
Not a hint of concern or sympathy on that man's face. pic.twitter.com/ygQ7T9Nkxu

It’s a big day in the basketball world; the confirmation of a long-running conspiracy theory, so NBA Twitter was both elated and disgusted.

Iâm dead serious when I say I would watch at least a 25 minute documentary on the time Paul Pierce took a dump in his pants in a Finals game.
