Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz confesses to porn star dream

IF HE wasn’t a millionaire baseballer, David Ortiz would be an adult film star. As luck would have it, somebody has put an offer on the table.

IT is not uncommon for athletes these days to have dreams that fall outside the realms of professional sport.

But this is different.

In a short survey conducted by The Players’ Tribune, Boston Red Sox star David “Big Papi” Ortiz revealed some of his most guilty pleasures.

The 39-year-old, in his own handwriting, described what his dream job would be had he not made it in Major League Baseball. He wanted to be a pornstar.

We wonder what alias he would have used.

Evidently, when you play for the Boston Red Sox and you admit you have a soft side for porn, the porn industry will throw themselves at your feet.

Just hours after Ortiz’s interview was released, TMZ reported Big Papi’s first offer to work in the adult film industry.

Major porn company Vivid Entertainment reportedly offered the baseballer $100,000 to film a sex tape that would involve four or five women “because his personality is too big for just one”, according to the company’s CEO Steve Hirsch.

Hirsch told TMZ the debut film would be labelled “Big Papi’s Slugger”, in reference to Ortiz’ big hitting for Boston, among other things.

In a different life, Ortiz would have paraded his other talents.

And as he quickly approaches his 20th season in the MLB, the Red Sox veteran may well be looking for something to keep himself active during retirement.

For now though, Ortiz will have to settle for the $16 million salary and the knowledge that his dream remains unfulfilled.

Among the other questions on his What the (Blank)? survey, Ortiz identified his favourite song as “I like big butt”, formerly known as Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back”, and his number one all-time song lyric as Notorious B.I.G.’s “I love it when you call me Big Poppa” — or rather “Big Papi”.
