Aussie punters look worse for wear after wild day at the races

Everyone loves a day at the races and some Queenslanders may be nursing some sore heads after letting their hair down in style.

Plenty of punters looked like they enjoyed their day out at Doomben.

The Mekka Raceday returned on Wednesday and locals made the most of the Ekka public holiday, which falls midway through the Royal Queensland Show.

But the photos below suggest some revellers may be nursing sore heads today after having a flutter and lapping up the sun and champagne.
