Troy Kinne’s hilarious YouTube hit ‘Things never said during the Rio Olympics’ speaks plenty of truth
There’s been plenty of commentary surrounding the Olympic Games, but it doesn’t get any funnier than Troy Kinne’s viral video ‘Things never said during the Rio Olympics’.
“The 100m sprint is good, but I just wish they wouldn’t rush the intros”, said nobody ever of coverage of the Olympic Games.
“If Australia’s not in it I usually go for New Zealand or Great Britain,” are words that have never been uttered by a true Aussie sports’ fan.
And, if anyone ever says the words “I don’t think I’ve ever looked at a runner’s package,” it’s time to stand up and call them up on bulls**t.
And that is exactly what comic genius Troy Kinne has done in his latest Youtube creation.
Kinne could well be the future of comedy in Australia, and his viral video — Things Never said During the Rio Olympics — is a great example of why.
In the video, Kinne calls for more slow motion replays, more background chats with the families of athletes, and he even has a couple of sly digs at the debacle of the recent Census.
Kinne posted the video during the second week of the Olympic Games in Rio, and it immediately attracted plenty of attention, with close to half-a-million views on Facebook, and thousands on his YouTube site.
The video features his fellow comic mates Daniel Connell Comedy, Sam Pang, Max Price, and Emma Louise Wilson, and was filmed by Louie Symmons and Zak Willsallen.
