Olympics 2024 pole vaulter ‘offered $390,000 porn deal’ after manhood denied him medal
After thousands of memes countless new Instagram followers, pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati has been made an offer for a very peculiar career shift.
Frenchman Anthony Ammirati has been propelled to stardom in Paris - but not because of his pole vault ability.
Ammirati finished 12th in the event, which was won by Armand Duplantis on Monday with the Swede setting a world and Olympic record in the process.
However Ammirati went viral after performing on Saturday as the size of his manhood prevented him from clearing a height of 5.70metres.
The Frenchman revealed he was “gutted” by his exit but a silver lining has emerged with pornographic website CamSoda willing to offer him a massive payday.
CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker told TMZ: “If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw, your talent below the belt.
“As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to £200,000 (A$390,000) in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show, in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course.”
Ammirati, 21, has a lot of potential and broke the French junior pole vault record with 5.81m in August 2022.
So his failure to clear a height lower than that was tough for him to take, despite his new found fame.
He said following his Olympics exit: “It’s a big disappointment. I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m.
“What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session.
“I had to give up the last two, because after a small grade one in the abductor, I prioritised the race. I was 100 per cent physically, but I was missing a bit…
“The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress.
“As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to play with the public. I was almost there.”
