THE Australian men’s team pursuit squad went under world record time. In a cruel twist of fate, it was not enough to win gold on the Rio track.
GREAT Britain has broken the team pursuit world record to win gold in a thrilling final against Australia in Rio.
The quartet of Jack Bobridge, Michael Hepburn, Alex Edmondson and Sam Welsford rode 3:51.008 as the Brits went 3:50.205.
