The Olympic Village has been flooded with a reported 200,000 condoms for the Games with one athlete showing off the cheeky messaging.

Canadian sailor Sarah Douglas has given a look inside the welcome packs provided to athletes at the Olympic village.

Around 10,000 athletes are set to descend on Paris at the 2024 Summer Games.

The first set of events have already commenced around Paris, with the opening ceremony on the Seine set to get underway on Saturday (AEST).

As the athletes arrived at the village, they were greeted with a welcome bag inside their rooms.

Douglas, who finished sixth in the Laser Radial class in Tokyo three years ago, shared what came inside the athletes pack.

The 30-year-old posted a video to TikTok revealing the contents, which includes water bottles, a mobile phone and a pocket guide.

All the basic items you'd expect.

She also showed off a toiletries bag before ending the video with a glimpse of the Olympic-branded condoms.

Each set of the contraceptives came with a message written on the packaging.

The first read: “On the field of love, play fair. Ask for consent,” whilst the second said: “No need to be a gold medallist to wear it.”

Cheeky condom messages were in the packs.

Every athlete got the same.

Athletes are set to be provided with a reported 20 each during the Paris Games.

It comes as a sex ban implemented in Tokyo is lifted, despite the beds in the village being made of cardboard.

Intimacy was banned in 2021 due to Covid-19, but has been removed for this year’s event.

The Paris Olympic village cost $A3.3 billion to construct and is the size of 70 football pitches.

Plans are in place to convert the athlete accommodation into 2,500 homes after the Games.
