An Aussie skater has just won a gold medal with an unbelievable score in the Men’s Park final.
Keegan Palmer, 18, started with an incredible score of 94.04, quickly putting the 18-year-old in the lead.
“Ladies and gentlemen, get out of your seats at home. Keegan Palmer is going to lock in a score that could be one for the ages,” the Channel 7 commentator cried.
Just moments later he scored even higher with a ridiculous run — scoring a massive 95.83 — to cement his place at the top.
But there was a dramatic final twist when Brazil’s Luiz Francisco absolutely nailed his third run.
Thankfully, the Brazilian couldn’t break into the podium spots, and Palmer made history to claim the event’s first ever gold medal at the Olympics.
Fellow Aussie Kieran Woolley could only muster 17.03 in his first attempt— but picked himself back up to score an impressive 82.04.
