HE’S the rockstar of Rio and if athlete selfies were awarded points, nabbing one with Usain Bolt would top the charts.

While some of the Olympics’ biggest stars like Serena Williams chose not to stay with athletes in the traditional village, Bolt was not one of them.

The result? He becomes the village’s hottest property and number one selfie target.

Used to being the target of selfies himself, Sonny Bill Williams led the charge, tracking down Bolt early in the games.

Posting an awkwardly posed photo to Twitter, Williams wrote: “Spoke with the fasted man on earth @usainbolt. Good luck my bro”.

US gymnast Aly Raisman famously said last week she’d “almost flipped the table over” running to steal a moment with the sprinter.

“Who wouldn’t,” she tweeted.

Australian long jumper Chelsea Jaensch is one of many in the Australian team who heaped the adulation on the sprinter, finding him at the athletics practise sessions.

“When it’s your first Olympics and you get to meet this guy! Thank you @usainbolt,” she wrote.

Even Aussie athletes Annette Edmonson, Amy Cure and Stephanie Morton posed two tables away from Bolt, just to capture him in the background.

Bolt is rarely seen in the communal areas of the village, but when he is, the stampede is on.

Bolt - unlike the rest of the athletes was given the honour of having his own room, but said he had had to spring for his won TV.

Back in 2014, three security guards were sacked at the Commonwealth games for seeking their own selfies.
