AUSTRALIAN high jumper Bradon Starc was unable to reproduce his performance in the semi-finals in the final of the event, finishing outside the medal shake-up.
Australian high jumper Bradon Starc was unable to reproduce his standout performance from the semi-finals in the final of the event.
Starc produced a clearance of 2.29m in the earlier round but, on Olympic debut, could only leap cleanly over 2.20m on his second attempt, crashing out when the bar was raised to 2.25m.

Canada’s Derek Drouin added the Olympic crown to his world title after winning a gripping, high-quality final.
Drouin was faultless through to 2.38 metres, Qatari Mutaz Barshim claiming silver with a best of 2.36m.
Ukraine’s Bohdan Bondarenko took bronze with 2.33m.
